although Lupin is one of my favorite characters and a reminder of his birthday is welcome, I would like to see the birthday calender at JKR's site updated with life span information for the deceased ones. otherwise it starts to smell as much as the birthday calender of my grnadmother, all names buried people.

Yeah! I share a birthday with Remus Lupin. I think that out of all the celebrities in the world (wink, wink) he's my favorite to share a birthday with. For everyday people, I'd have to say that my twin sister is my favorite person to share a birthday with. It feels weird in some bizarre psychological way that the book Remus dies in he's 38 and yet today he's 48. (Correct me if the ages are wrong.) I believe, all around, that the books not finishing in 2007 just feels off but on the flip side it's just as if I've found an old series that was published and finished years back. I'm glad that Rowling didn't change up the dates to match the publishing dates, it makes it feel more magical (as much as I hate to use that term). It feels like it's a better kept secret, I'm not sure, I just like the gesture and her decisivness is all.
