ok, darn lack of character development alright, that really sucks, they always do that...I mean, no Winky on fourth, why Tonks of sixth, right? it sucks. I don't see anything wrong with making Remus and Tonks a couple from the start of HBP; it cleanly cuts out the (sort of unnecessary) angsty!Tonks subplot while still developing the Tonks/Remus relationship that plays a slightly larger role in the next book. Fans complain about everything. >:C

I wish they would stop adding scenes that aren't in the book and add the scenes that actually happen! Sounds exciting but I would like to see Bill and Flur some. Looks like this ones building up to be another HP movie that is very distant from the book, with stuff left out and new stuff added. I don't think I recall a death eater attack on the Burrow at Christmas in HBP. Can anyone else?

that's horrible. that's awful. what a stupid, stupid idea. I'm sorry, but this is just idiotic. it's a completely new scene, which i could live with, if they weren't cutting stuff out to put it in. i mean seriously, this is just ridiculous. lupin and tonks are an awesome couple. now we don't even get to see that happen? and we porobably won't get to see the chocolate cauldron scene with romilda vane because that was over christmas. of course it's still possible... but why can't they stick to the books instead of writing heir whole own story? i'm tired of them skipping everything we love. anybody else agree with me there? grr...

I'm going to miss all the scrutinizing about why Tonks is so depressed, and all the theories that she was in love with Sirius. They are just going to show that "Hey look, Lupin and Tonks are together!" It's going to be so random without any warning or hints. They also aren't going to show Bill and Fleur,they're just randomly going to have the wedding in the next film. I'm gonna miss all the Phlegm jokes in HBP and Fleur saying that she is pretty enough for the both of them when Bill gets bitten.

this sucks, it would be a cool scene but its not needed and i am sure they are cutting out scenes that are needed to make way for it. grrr. i would like to see more tonks and i hope they somehow explain her and lupins sudden get together somehow. to people who haven't read it wouldn't make sense.

What about on the hogwarts express where Tonks saves Harry, or in the castle when Harry is trying to get in to the room of requirements and Tonks walks up on him, is none of that going to be in the movie?Didn't it say she just filmed her one and only scene in the movie?The scene on the train is kind of a big deal in my opinion, it's the starting point for yet another Harry/Draco war.

character development is one thing, Lupin and Tonks suddenly becoming a couple another thing, Lucious getting ten years younger yet another thing, but the demonters attacking the safe haven that is the burrow in hbp is completly another! what the heck? what do they think they're doing? that would be a very long scene and as far as I remember there is enough matariel in that book for at least ten hours! not to mention the fact that it's totally not acceptable! this is not the adaption of the book any more! this is some stupid lame attempt to make money by giving a movie the same name as some sucsseful books. Im sorry, they crossed the line. This is too big.

I maybe can see why angsty Tonks can't be in it. But Remus and Tonks didn't become a couple until after Dumbledore's death.. Seeing them just suddenly a coule at Christmas (when death eaters attack?!) would just be weird... And yeah. Don't put Lucius in Voldemort's time if he wasn't in it! I wanna meet David Yates in a dark alley and persuade him into having the hospital scene. I wanna see people cry in the last movie when Tonks and Lupin dies, haha. Okay, not really but I think Lupin and Tonks is really imprtant for the whole Harry Potter books. I cried like a baby when I read that Tonks and Lupin had died and if the doesn't have an of the importannt moment or whatever in their realationship the ones who just watch the movie isn't going to fell the same way when they died. I was really execited about this movie..still am but not in the same way. I wanted Tonks to say " See, she doesn't care that he's a werewolf".

Oh this is...too horrible. HBP is my favourite book BECAUSE of Tonks and Lupin. What about the hospital wing scene? Holding hands at Dumbledore's funeral? At least they are a couple in the film, but, but, only one Tonks scene? This is too cruel! They're the only couple I gave a darn about! I...I don't even want to see this film anymore.

The first three movies, I took a day off from work to see the movie when it came out. But the third movie was such a disappointment that I didn't do that for the fourth. Then, by the time the fifth came out, I only bought it on DVD. This time, I'll probably just rent it. I wish the movie makers would figure out that as the movies get worse, the fans don't turn out with the same passion as when they are good. I wish they'd get fan input to the storyboard before they start filming!!!

Can't there be a competition to win like an meeting with David Yates? So that someone can discuss what makes the Harry Potter books soo amazing. I think Natalie is really great for the Tonks part, I love "Trailing Tonks" because it really shows her Tonks side I think. Tonks, Lupin and all the others character that isn't the main character makes the book soooooo soooo gooood.

Omg did you hear that? That was my heart breaking into billion pieces. That was the one thing (+ sectumsempra scene) that if they ruined it It would break my heart. And omg they just did. Remember, everyone, that all plot changes go through JKR. If she approves of them, then what reason have we to complain. Also, changing things for the films is not simply a matter of taking one thing out to put another thing in. It all has to do with the movie having a coherent storyline. Just because JKR has something in the book, it does not mean that subplot or scene is good for a coherent movie. Remember that they only have 2.5 hours to tell a story that takes (on average) 24 hours of reading time. They have to add some things and take somethings away in order for the movie to make sense.

@phoenixtears81-then why put in a whole new big unexisting scene in the movie? I seriously don't understand the logic behind this. The burrow is supposed to stay harry's safe place till DH. This doesnt help make the movie to make sense, just the opposite

AND ANOTHER THING!! Tonks and Lupin didn't even get to glance at each other in the OotP film, let alone talk to each other. Fans of the films will be really confused by the two suddenly becoming a couple when, as far as they know, the two barely even know each other, if at all.

Hm. I'm stuck between being quite disappointed in David Yates (even though OotP was one of my favorite movies) and remembering that Jo had to have approved the scene, so it can't be too bad. This is annoying. ~ lol julietlives.

This upsets me, if only because I love Lupin so much and because of what it means for the hospital scene. The transformation of Fleur from a stuck up teenage girl to a strong woman who supports her man through hard times is such a sweet and unexpected one. I miss the old days when movie adaptations were faithful.

People complain, but its impossible to add every subplot that's in the books into the movie, the book is a piece of literature, those small nice details and subplots are nessesary for the book to be good, the movie doesn't and can't possibly do so, for time and budgeting issues. Horrible would be if Tonks and Lupin were not a couple at all, that would change the plot, not crop it, like they have been doing, because lets face it. ITS A MOVIE NOT A RECORDED VERSION OF THE BOOK. About the attack on the Burrow at Christmas, I don't remember that. But if it wasn't in the book, I guess they added it to tie up things they had to cut out. I'm still looking forward to this, and the next two movies. I had wished to see more Tonks in HBP, but oh well. But really excited... Really excited, and not complaining about small details, its not like the cut Ron or Hermione from the movie....

How in the name of Merlin's saggy left *insert word of choice here* do they think that adding a random scene in the middle and cutting the coolest couple is going to help the advance the plot in any way? Merlin. I mean, I could cope with them cutting Remus and Tonks if it was an absolute must (but they've cut Bill and Fleur as well - wtfudge?) but adding a random new fight scene? That is out of line. Very out of line. The whole point about HBP is that Harry thinks that something is going to happen, and everyone tells him that nothing's going to happen, and it feels like nothing's happening, and then WHAM you're on the tower and Dumbledore's dead. It's what separates the fifth, sixth and seventh from being one over-active hyped up mushed together mess, which I think will happen if they try to put action where JK has put rest and character development. Oh, sweet Merlin, if only I was a real witch I'd risk Azkaban and put the imperius on David Yates. H.
