'Wyrd Sisters' to compensate WB
Last November we reported that Winnipeg musical group, Wyrd Sisters, sued Warner Bros. and attempted to have GOF banned from distribution across Canada because they believed a band with a similar name, The Weird Sisters, featured in the movie; the name of the band was never actually mentioned in the flick. They lost their case and have now been ordered to reimburse WB's $140k legal fees.

Random Fact: It takes 10 seconds for 500 lawsuits to be filed around the world. haha, give them credit for trying guys. Stupidity has its entertainment when it's stuff like this.
That woman is MAD! If she doesn't want her jclildren reading the books, fair enough. But if she wants the rest of us still at school (im NZ yr7) GET REAL!
Ha Ha!
what retardes i mean grow up people!! just trying to destory everyone elses lives here in canada i suppose
They actually came out 16 ( I think) years ago. I am from Winnipeg, and know that they are quite good. it is just so pathetic that they seriously tried to ruin harry Potter for Canada. (They originally wanted to ban the Goblet of Fire movie from Canada) They are making a huge deal out of nothing, plus as you all know, The Weird Sisters is from Macbeth. so.. maybe Shakespear should rise from his grave and sue them... it's seriously pathetic. Oh well, they lost, and will lose again.
Seems to me that the Wyrd Sisters were trying to get some free publicity by making a big stink about the "use" of their name... and now WB is giving them exactly what they want.
Well, that's a load of crap...
thats a load of rubbish!1
