Deathly Hallows filming to begin later this year
Deathly Hallows filming to begin later this year A short article released by The Scotsman this evening reveals that Deathly Hallows filming will commence later this year in the Scottish Highlands of Lochaber.

You may remember that David Heyman revealed in an interview that filming would begin in February 2009, which obviously conflicts with this new report. It is our thinking that filming in Lochaber will likely just be b-roll scenic shots.

Cheer up people! Harry Potter will live on as long as the fandom is still around..I'm not going anywhere, you shouldn't either! Buuut..That looks like a pretty place to be filming! I'm excited for the movies, even though they always dissapoint me.

Posted by mya2mya May 14th 2008

Filming about half an hour from my house :) Could be the dragon scene after Gringotts I suppose?? I've been a bit disappointed with the films really - I hope so badly that they don't mess DH up. It's got unbelievable potential.

Posted by sgarime1 May 14th 2008

That's really cool, that have begun production on Deathly Hallows. I'm really excited now! :)

Posted by Dragon_queen4ever May 14th 2008

@mya2mya: you lucky lucky person...XP Lol, I saw 'scenic' as 'science' that through me off for a bit.

Posted by angelina_johnson92 May 14th 2008

Woooooo Hooooo! The sooner, the better.

Posted by nitrogen May 14th 2008

OMG sweet! Well the scenic shots are the bases of the movie :) (apart from its acters/actresses of course) cant wait!

Posted by Stephanie_loves_hp May 14th 2008

Posted by hp_hudz May 14th 2008

Posted by HPfanx14 May 14th 2008

oo thats cool. i thinkk movie seven is going to be really good. I love the fact that they split it up into two movies taht way we get everthing we are looking for from the book. the big question is, where are they gonna split the movies. im gonna go crazy wanting to see the second half.

Posted by Rose37 May 14th 2008

O, MY GOODNESS!!! The world is coming to an end!!! In a way I am happy and glad that the series is almost over, but In a way I am not. Harry Potter has been part of my life for the last 7 years and counting, but it is also good to move on. I don't know how I will move on, but I will. I just hope that movie 7 out of all the movies is worth the wait and I mean worth the wait!!!

Posted by lumos May 14th 2008

whats a b-roll scenic shot?!!

Posted by Dragon_queen4ever May 14th 2008

@ lumos : my guess is basically just scenes they film to show where in heck people are.

Posted by thewandmaker May 14th 2008

This scene looks like the place where they will escape to on the back of the dragon after leaving Gringots! B-roll is footage that is used in background material, like advertisements, posters and the like.

Posted by Rose37 May 15th 2008

It is a very cool b-roll scene, if I do say so myself!!!

Posted by bEtHyBoP13 May 19th 2008

Yaaaaay for Scotland. But I don't live near the Highlands (I live in the west of Scotland) but I wish I did live there because I like the scenery better!! Oh well! I wonder what they'll be filming there? Maybe the dragon or maybe just transitions between the different places the trio go on their horcrux hunt. Idk..I can't believe it's almost OVER!!
