Deathly Hallows filming to begin later this year
A short article released by The Scotsman this evening reveals that Deathly Hallows filming will commence later this year in the Scottish Highlands of Lochaber. You may remember that David Heyman revealed in an interview that filming would begin in February 2009, which obviously conflicts with this new report. It is our thinking that filming in Lochaber will likely just be b-roll scenic shots.

Oo that's a really beautiful scene!!!
OOooooooOOOOOoOOOOoooOOOo wa.... it's all wrapping up now isn't it? after the DH movie, the world's gonna end... the half of it that didn't end when we finished reading DH this summer... Lol sorry for the depressing post!
YAY! But then again.... Sigh... Harry Potter is almost done. Still, there's always the theme park to look forward too!!!
TOP TEN!!!! six? hope so.
Interesting... I like that thumbnail picture, the sky is so blue!
Cheer up people! Harry Potter will live on as long as the fandom is still around..I'm not going anywhere, you shouldn't either! Buuut..That looks like a pretty place to be filming! I'm excited for the movies, even though they always dissapoint me.
Devious! hope they don't screw this one up...
Wow!!!!!!! That soon? Thanks for the news! : )
YAY!! Deathly Hallows the best book to be adapted for a movie! CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS ONE! Too bad its only scenic shots though, but i guess that makes sense. =)
no way...im so freakin excited...wow...cant wait until november either...harry potter is my life...
Filming about half an hour from my house :) Could be the dragon scene after Gringotts I suppose?? I've been a bit disappointed with the films really - I hope so badly that they don't mess DH up. It's got unbelievable potential.
That's really cool, that have begun production on Deathly Hallows. I'm really excited now! :)
@mya2mya: you lucky lucky person...XP Lol, I saw 'scenic' as 'science' that through me off for a bit.
Woooooo Hooooo! The sooner, the better.
OMG sweet! Well the scenic shots are the bases of the movie :) (apart from its acters/actresses of course) cant wait!
yay I cant wait!
freaky place. it looks pretty. are they filming it alredy????? dnt they give the actors and actoresses a rest????
oo thats cool. i thinkk movie seven is going to be really good. I love the fact that they split it up into two movies taht way we get everthing we are looking for from the book. the big question is, where are they gonna split the movies. im gonna go crazy wanting to see the second half.
O, MY GOODNESS!!! The world is coming to an end!!! In a way I am happy and glad that the series is almost over, but In a way I am not. Harry Potter has been part of my life for the last 7 years and counting, but it is also good to move on. I don't know how I will move on, but I will. I just hope that movie 7 out of all the movies is worth the wait and I mean worth the wait!!!
whats a b-roll scenic shot?!!
@ lumos : my guess is basically just scenes they film to show where in heck people are.
This scene looks like the place where they will escape to on the back of the dragon after leaving Gringots! B-roll is footage that is used in background material, like advertisements, posters and the like.
It is a very cool b-roll scene, if I do say so myself!!!
Yaaaaay for Scotland. But I don't live near the Highlands (I live in the west of Scotland) but I wish I did live there because I like the scenery better!! Oh well! I wonder what they'll be filming there? Maybe the dragon or maybe just transitions between the different places the trio go on their horcrux hunt. Idk..I can't believe it's almost OVER!!
