JKR Children's Choice 'Author of the Year'
The Children's Choice Book Awards winners have been annouced with Jo Rowling earning the "Author of the Year" title, as voted by over 55,000 chilren. According to this press release, the "program was created to provide young readers with an opportunity to voice their opinions about the books being written for them and to help develop a reading list that will motivate children to read. The program is a new component of Children's Book Week, the longest running literacy event in the country."

I totally agree with the winning the award. The book series is the best the world has ever had and everyone should have a chance to read the series. Many people mayn't like the series and stop reading, but that is their loss, not ours or Jos!!! Great job Jo!!!
