I think it is the scene on page 337 in HBP where Harry is in the attic bedroom at the Burrow on Christmas eve. Ron is asleep and Harry digs through his chest to find the Advanced Potions Making Book to determine how old it is. Anyone agree?

That is probably when Harry is doing dention for snape, and he found the file on his dad.

My first impression on seeing the two pictures was that the most recent one was when Harry is doing his detention in Snape's office and is going through the cards with all of the punishments over the years. It is when he finds cards with his father's and Sirius's name on them, and Snape goads him about it. If the pictures go together the second/older one might have been when he was walking back to the common room after detention and is waiting to find out the result of the Quidditch match. Probably not but that's my guess.

I'm sure they wouldn't do this for HBP, but I love that scene when Harry finds the picture of himself when he was a baby riding the (first) broom Siruis bought him:) This picture reminds me of that scene. I hope they put that in the films! I'm going to cry:(

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I think this photo is from the scene when Harry first acquires Snape's old textbook in Potions class. In the novel, Slughorn is the one who retrieves the old textbooks for Harry and Ron from the cabinet, but I think in the film, it will make more sense for Harry to go to the cabinet and discover the textbook. Thoughts?

honouraryweasley12, if he was in class he would be wearing school robes, no? Someone on the previous page pointed out that thet trunk could not be upside down, or the drawer would be as well. Now I don't know what my theory is...

I think that the thing he is looking in is his trunk. I also think that the room he is in is at the Dursley's house, it looks similar to the decor in their house in the fifth movie. He could be packing while waiting for Dumbledore to come and pick him up, but he doesn't exactly look like he is in a hurry.

Because he is in muggle clothing...I think he is looking around at "Slughorn's house" after Dumbledore retrieves him from the Dursley's...just a guess. Bezoar sounds good, but he isn't in his robes.

It is the detention scene. Although I run the risk of showing my age here, it looks like Harry is looking at an old-timey card catalog storage device. Anybody remember when you had to look up where a book was in a library by using the card catalog "system" instead of a computer? LOL

He's in Hepzibah Smith's apartment during a Penseive visit for clues to Tom Riddle's past. That's what kicked into my mind first with that tapestry in the background.

response to evanna 11: It is the first "American" edition of HBP (July 2005) on pg 337 in "A Very Frost Christmas" chapter. Harry is in the attic bedroom at the burrow on Christmas eve and delving through his trunk to find his copy of Advanced Potion Making. This is my best guess of which scene in the book matches this mystery pic but who can know till the movie comes out. The movies are so notoriously altered from the books (often unnecessary in my opinion) that this picture is probably from some made up scene.

at the orphanage with Dumbledore looking into little Riddle's drawer where he kept souvenirs from his victims.

well, i guess he is just helping himself to some old potions book as he doesnt have one of his own (slughorn tells him to do so).

I think harry is looking for the bezoar in potions class! its a grat pic but we need more ya know. i mean the movies is out in like 6 months and we havent really had any great news. Perhaps they are keeping it so tightly under wraps because it is going to be so much better then the rest?

Remember how Harry got, y'know, stomped on on the Hogwarts Express by Malfoy? well, he got to the feast and his room and stuff late, and still in his muggle clothes. I was thinking that maybe that had something to do with the second pic, if not the first. The trailer isn't out yet! I saw Prince Caspian (btw it was WONDERFUL! SO much more suspensful then Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe),and there were no HBP trailers... I hope there's one soon!!!!!!! Can you tamper with stuff in other people's memories? I mean, if he was in a memory, he wouldn't be able to do anything, right? Just watch... Right?

for all we know, this pic could be of something that wasn't in the book at all...they could have added it cuz they messed up in one of the other movies and forgot to show us something!!!! but personally, i don't think its the detention or the bezoar scene, cuz A) the settings not right and B) he looks too relaxed to be in detention or a life or death situation... but thats just my opinion........

I also saw Prince Caspian(I like that they stuck to the book and HP should take notes form the director)and no trailer. All the movies the were shown during the Caspian preview looked insanely stupid! Is Batman a WB movie, maybe it'll come out then. I'm sure it'll be released when a BIG movie comes out.

TagneyFRiverdale... The detention happens at night, and in either Snape's office or the DADA classroom (I can't remember right now). Both of those rooms are described as being dark and creepy like Snape's dungeons. Not brightly lit like this room.

I only read about the first 50 but my thought is it has something to do with the felix felicis and putting it in his trunk or taking it out. The detention idea is good as well but it really looks like a trunk.

IDK but my guess from the look on his face that he is franticly look for something wich would lead me to think hes in slughorns office looking for a bezor to save ron after drinking the poisoned mead!! but who knows for sure!

if you look closely at the picture, you can see an s and a period after it, and when you adjust some of the settings, you can see part of an h or an f start to appear. i think it's slughorn's trunk, i think it's when harry is looking for either the potions book or the beazor for class, even though both should be in a big cabinet. it could also be at slughorn's house, but that's supposed to be at night. another possibility is that the letters stand for Student Files, and he's doing detention for snape in filch's office. as for the standing up picture, he wouldn't be holding the map out in the open like that if he wasn't around people he trusted, especially when it's showing the map. there's a lot of light and part of a staircase behind him, which means he's entering the boy's dormitory. it suck that the trailer isn't out yet, i hope it gets out soon.

Hello! I think this is from the end of the movie-If you look at Harry's hand on the side, it looks like he is hold a "chain" or MAYBE a special locket! I think the "hidin" drawer has Harrys broken mirror in it-and he is putting the two together in his trunk. (since they didnt show the mirror in movie 5-it cant just "show up" in movie 7. Soooo thats my therory!

I can't wait for the trailer! It would have been awesome if HBP trailer had been w/narnia. Btw, prince caspian is like the best movie ever. yah other than hp which i think it's tied and potc which nothing surpasses... but still awesome. WHEN wiLL THE TRAILER COME OUT!?????
