Half-Blood Prince teaser to be with The Mummy?
Yes, the other day we did tell you that a few of those who work at movie theaters heard about the Half-Blood Prince teaser trailer premiering with The Dark Knight.Now though, we're hearing a new teaser trailer rumor. Two people within movie theaters have heard stories about the trailer coming with The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor on August 1st.
According to MuggleNet reader Kathleen, Universal pushed to have the Half-Blood Prince teaser trailer in front of Mummy to give a little boost to ticket sales. The teaser poster will be coming a week afterward. MuggleNet reader Michele tells us that her manager spoke with Warner Brothers, who told them that the trailer is to run in front of Mummy and not The Dark Knight.
Again, keep this in the rumor category for now. All of these Half-Blood Prince pictures lately is certainly a good sign of bigger things to come. As always, we'll keep you updated!

Goshh, I'm a little sick of this little waiting game that WB has us playing.. I mean, TDK looks awesome, and regardless of whether the teaser trailer is coming out with it, I'm going to watch it. I'm trying to take it slow, go bit by bit. You know, first wait for the teaser trailer, then the trailer, then the movie so I don't go mad. But now even waiting for the teaser trailer is getting wayyy too much! The if The Mummy 3 is anything like The Mummy 2, I guess I'll just watch the teaser online. PLEASE LET IT BE W/ TDK!

i hope i comes out with the dark knight cuz i'm already seeing it the first day it comes out and i don't really want to see the mummy. plus that means a longer wait and i already feel like i've been waiting for centuries.
The mummy is going to suck.. I was going to see TDK either way, so if the trailer isn't in that movie, ill catch it on the internet. I can't stand brendan fraiser..
the mummy is due out on September 11 here in Australia :( hope its not that long before we see HBP trailer. if it does end up being attached to TDK i think i will give it a miss, batman is not my thing...
I really hope it IS The Mummy because then I won't miss the live podcast when I'm on holiday!! But I won't go to see The Mummy, those films freak me out!!

Maybe it will be with The Mummy and Dark Night. I remember that I saw the Phoenix trailer with Happy Feet and Eragon.

What the $%#@ is The Mummy about anyway? All I know is that it's about crap & that the release date is BS! ANYWAY, if the teaser doesn't come out with TDK, I'm going to have a freakin' breakdown. TDK seems like the only good movie that the trailer would be released with! & besides, Gary Oldman is in it. :) HOPEFULLY the trailer will be released with BOTH movies. NO! NO! NO! I was counting down the days until July 18th! This is so unfair, why do they keep dragging up around. I know it's a rumor, but there must be SOME truth to it. I seriously can't wait almost a whole month until the trailer comes out. That's too far away . . .
That's really too long to wait for, and for a blockbuster like Half Blood Prince, that's really too close to the actual release time, since they usually show the trailers well in advance. I still think it will be with The Dark Knight.
If we all have to wait until August 1st, the the trailer better be the REAL trailer! And it better be like .... freaking five kajillion minutes long - because I'm not going to go to a stupid movie (The Mummy, if you don't know! =|) and walk out feeling like I paid $8 for nothing and for a stupid teaser trailer that is less than a goddamn minute!

WAIT WAIT WAIT..... The Mummy is a Universial Film not a WB one. They would not put a WB movie in a Universial film, this must be a rumor or a sick joke.
If true, I don't understand the reasoning behind it. I could see the trailer being in front of both the dark knight and the mummy, but not just the mummy. If the HP moviemakers have a choice, they would definately want it in front of the dark knight, because that should make more in the box office than the mummy. And, a lot of the people who like the dark knight, would also probably like HP. My guess is that it might be in front of both movies, and not just one.

Even though the HBP trailer really SHOULD be released with The Dark Knight, it actually does make sense that Universal would want it in front of The Mummy 3. They know their movie is, let's say, below the quality of The Dark Knight and Harry Potter but Universal has the connection with the Harry Potter theme park. It is, sadly, all about the money. I just don't understand why Warner Brothers would avoid releasing it with The Dark Knight, which will probably all ready beat Titanic in the box office-if they know everyone is going to see this movie, why would they avoid showing off Harry Potter, assuming the trailer is really amazing considering we've waited all this time? I think Warner Brothers would want more people to see one of their movies than help out another studio. So that's why I think we will be seeing the HBP trailer with The Dark Knight.

Screw that, I am NOT throwing away $8 on this piece of crap movie just to see the HBP trailer... I'll just watch it online. Plus now this means we'll have to wait even longer (if the rumor is true). I saw the trailer for The Mummy 3 in theaters, and the interesting thing was it had the same music that the OOTP trailer had... But anyway, I wouldn't call The Mummy a "family" film, and that's what they're probably going to market HBP as, AND The Mummy 3 might get an 'R' rating, it looks pretty violent.
I'm looking forward to seeing Mummy III, but waiting this long for the teaser trailer is ridiculous. Even Dark Knight seems too far away...

Yeah, the OOTP trailer music and Mummy 3 trailer music is the same. Go on YouTube and search 'Order of the Phoenix Theatrical Trailer', you'll find it. Then watch the Mummy one. When I saw the Mummy trailer, I knew I recognized the music, then I realized it was used in the OOTP trailer last year.
Has anyone considered that perhaps the teaser trailer is coming with the dark night, and the real trailer is coming with the mummy? Just a thought...
