Movie Magic previews Half-Blood Prince
Movie Magic magazine's latest issue includes a really big spread for Half-Blood Prince. They interviewed a variety of cast and crew, who also spoke about the upcoming Deathly Hallows film. Movie Magic: Because you have actors performing against the small parts of the cave you have to actually build, what aspects of it did you construct?
Stuart: We built that island, we built the boat that they travel in, and part of the shoreline they leave to get to the island. But they are like one percent of the total that you'll see in the final film.
Producer David Heyman on the Deathly Hallows split:
"You obviously need to find the right end point in the book halfway through," he says. "Each has to be a self-contained unit. Each film so far has been different from the one that preceded it, so we need to do that with Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2. There is the challenge of making two separate films that you want to have an identity of their own while you're shooting them at the same time. That being said, what is exciting , what works in our favor, is taht we have a very clear sense of what the two films are and what the thematic underpinnings of each part are, which in itself will provide a distinct nature to each of them."

Ya, I do have one idea, but it is a bit Lord Of The Rings type of suggestion. We would tie wb members hands and feet down to a torture bed and repeat over and over again, We want it, we need it, we must have it, in a smegil sort of voice!!! The Trailer is "Our precious!!!"

That was a really good interview. It's so cool reading about the set design and wardrobe design too. But did they say that they were thinking about cutting the film at Ron's arrival? I really hope that this isn't true and they cut it at the scene where the Snatchers catch them after saying Voldemort's name. That's just my opinion.

oh man... I've read DH 3 times and I'm already forgetting the bulk of the first half of it. Now I have to read it again so I can make an opinion about where to cut it off.
I say we go disrupt every single WB movie in cinemas, until they give us a freaking trailer.....
that will make them earn more money, I doubt they will complain

I agree they should cut the movie after Harry walks out and tells Ron and Hermione his plan they could be looking out at Dobby's grave and let it end there. BUTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!! if they cut Dobby's death scean or don't do the battle of Hogwarts right and if they don't give Snape his just due (ie all those wonderful memories that Harry goes into) I do belive I will pull a texas_hammer and go after the WB, the director, and the writer for butchering the books so bad!!! They have to have Snapes memories so we know why he did the things he did and how in the end he turned out to be a wonderful person.. The one thing I really hate that they cutt from the movies is just how important to Harry the Weasly family is to Harry. :(
hey samlynne899- i got mine yesterday at a super stop & shop in the northeast but i'm sure you can get it at borders or barnes & noble. still going through the articles....nice one on tom felton. and rupert will be turning 20 this year...omg!!!!! even has some new pics of dan, emma & rupert, bonnie & katie. Movie Magic also said something that arthur will be attacked by fenrir and not bill. oh well. the rest of you guys here....you are soooooo funny. made me smile!!
i am sooo hooked on the music i finally burned a "best of" cd. put together POA, GOF and OoTP. i'm listening right now!!! i think MG needs some music in the background while we read and type!!! :-D only my opinion!!!! hopefully going to see journey to the center of the earth....maybe the trailer is there??? who knows where the trailer is!??!? we know we can find it on comingsoon pretty soon?
They DO NOT need to make parts 1 and 2 "self-contained units"... they're halves of the same story!! Just watch. They're going to screw with the plotline of DH in order to morph ONE story into two classic Hollywood plot arcs that are sure to sell LOTS of tickets to the ignorant masses.

The scene when snape turns from evil to good and his memory scene is WAY NEEDED and like BlueOwlfire had said they better not cut that out OR ELSE!!! Also in my opinon, texas_hammer that was a great but very dirty joke!!! Any other dirty jokes???
I say the because to get unhp people to want to get into watching part two of movie seven the split should be right after ron quiets, but I have heared that the split will be right when ron comes back from leaving the group during the horcrux search!!! I hope I am right and the rumor is not true!!!
I am looking with amazement to the released picture of Broadbent as Horace Slughorn, and sorry I have never seen a HP character featured out so utterly boaring and drab. No potbelly, no walrus moustace, cloting even Prof. Binns would think dull. When I read HBP I had a clear picture of Slughorn dressed only slightly less flashy and colourfull then Lockhart, at least a lot of velvet and a lot of shining is involved in the book. Slughorn is pretty hedonic, but this does not suit him for a yard.
I am begining to think that I am getting sick and tired of hp. Today I had bought the movie magic magazine and when I had first opened the magazine and started to read and still to this moment, I had no desire to read the hp articles. I had asked my Jonas Brother obession friend about this problem, she had said that "she never had this feeling happen to her with the Jonas Brothers and she never will!!!" Is this happening to any of you guys or is it just me??? What should I do? What does this feeling mean???
