LOL... is all I can say right now. Who knew movie trailers were so important to people's well being ;) I'm really excited for the movie and would love a trailer right now but I gave-up long ago already and I'm not expecting anything from WB any more :'( I think once they confirm it or something then we can get excited and get our hopes up. It was your own fault for getting so excited over nothing.... but just think how happy we will be when it finally does come out :)

A few things. One, Mirdala, I don't exactly get what you said here: "I am glad that they made it Arthur who gets attacked, because him I do care about." Why would you want someone you care about to be attacked? That's your personal opinion and I respect that, but, personally, I'm crushed whenever someone I like gets hurt. (You should have seen me at Dobby's death in DH. :-( Not pretty) Anyways, aside from that, I understand what you're getting at. At this point, I suppose it doesn't make as much sense to insert Bill and everything, but what bothers me is that they DIDN'T insert him in the first place before. I guess what's done is done, but...yeah. But I disagree that Bill's accident was just carnage. The built up tragedy over all the different problems in the Weasley's family (George's ear being sliced off, Fred dying, Percy ignoring his family for such a prolonged period, and Bill's being mauled) really affected Mr. and Mrs. Weasley a great deal and in a deep way. And if you really care about Mr. Weasley so much, you would care that he would care about Bill. I dunno really, I'm just one of those people who really just wishes that stuff like this would just plain follow the books. Maybe it's just the inner over-obsessive fan in me, but yeah.

BUT THAT'S IT! i remember the dark knight teaser was just a dialogue between alfred and bruce/batman and then the joker saying something . . . . . . no visuals but the batman logo shattering. . . . . but 15 seconds?! Can I just say how absolutely amazing JK Rowling is in how she created these characters and brought them to life? Look at the lot of you (yes, including me) all in a tizzy over a 15 second (brilliant I might add) preview of a trailer; over Arthur Weasley allegedly being mauled, because admit it, most of you view him as a 'father' figure, correct? Take a step back and look at the world Jo created and how R E A L it is to all of us....

Just to everyone who is explaining the whole "Mr. Weasley being mauled" and all that by saying stuff like it makes sense for the "average moviegoer who hasn't read the books." Now, I'm the sort of person who accepts it, but IN NO WAY UNDERSTANDS OR SUPPORTS this obsession with money. OK, I used to be 1 of those "watch movie but don't read books," types but now I'm an obsessive HP fan. And yes, it wouldn't really make sense to introduce Bill at this point. But I just have this thing where my mind is extremely opposed to changing all that happened involving him, even if it would make it easier on people who haven't read HP. I guess the movie should make enough sense to someone if they haven't gotten around to reading the books yet, but we wouldn't have that problem if one of the earlier movies just took three seconds to you know, mention Bill's name. I understand the concern of time, and I know what I'm arguing is unreasonable, but.. And, from what I can see, I just..I don't understand the money thing. Okay, you want as many people as you want to see the movie. And let's face it, our world is a money obsessed world. But, I just think it's...UNFAIR. I mean, all those people who haven't read the books? Honestly? I don't see why the movie should be changed for THEM, when it's WE OBSESSIVE FANS who really, well, care. Ok, so the other people will have a few minutes of confusion during the movie. But, ok. In the end, they really don't care as much about HP. And then take someone like me. Stuff like this? Well, IT MATTERS TO ME. Yes, I'm nitpicky about my details. But, it matters to me. It may not matter to the hundreds of other people who just want something to do on another Saturday so go and watch the new HP movie. People like me are the ones who started a countdown for HBP the day after OotP was released. People like me are the ones who spend each day getting excited for being 1 day closer. People like me are the ones it really matters to.

Why don`t we just look on the bright side of things. This line will definitely be in the movie. (hopefully) This is intriguing! It makes us even more trailer hungry than we already are. That's good then. And when we finally see the real (and two minutes+ long, hopefully) trailer, we will all be happy. :) As for Arthur getting attacked, I see no problem with it. It's just a change in character, that's all. People say that Mr. Weasley has "already suffered enough", but that's better IMO. The audience will feel for him, and care more about him, because we've known him longer.

Okay, first of all, that teaser description is epic fail. Second, there are no trailers before an IMAX film, so I have no idea what they're talking about...

hedwighummer... you would go see the movie no matter what. They (WB) got you already. They want casual fans. They want people who may never pick up one of the books. We're hooked, we HAVE to see the movie. In fact, the lines we stand in on opening night will help WB even more. The casual fans want to see what all the fuss is about so they wait until the next weekend. They care about us, but the care about everyone else more. We've already proved to them that we'll keep coming no matter what.

even if they have no trailers...im sure hbp is gonna make a lot of money anyway..thats probly why they havent bothered with the publicity..cuz they dont need to

R_U_Sirius, I guess you're right. That's true. But, I guess I'm just in a cranky mood and am pissed at all...this that's happening now. And it just makes me upset sometimes when I realize stuff exactly like what you said, because it's probably true. But that doesn't make the situation any less sad in my opinion.

Yourlaughter, I wouldn't blame the person who described it, I'd blame the person WHO MADE IT. And I have no idea about IMAX films, but, I dunno, either a) this whole thing could be a hoax, or b) they'd make an exception for something as epic as HP.

i felt hp dying out after dh..but i guess this news pissed off a lot of people..and started the whole hp hyp again..atleast this so called trailer is good for something..

PotterGurl08, I'm actually more exited for HBP, because the other film will be released here on January 9, which is still VERY far away...And I'm nervous ...I hope they don't mess up that film too...but there is always August 2nd to look out for first..the daily quote of today (The tanya one) is really making me crazy.. About the Arthur Weasley thing...it could be a fault in the Movie Maker Magazine..there were some other faults in it anyway. I don't like Bill being cut, because I love the wedding and Shell Cottage...and when they cut Bill..it's like killing someone, like making someone not exist..I mean wht about Victoire, Dominique and Louis? (not that they would show them in the film anyway, but it atill feels that way...). And if they are cutting Bill, they ca leave Greyback out to...I mean, if they leave him out they will have more time for other things and thy don't have to hurt poor Arthur..

MR STEVE KNOWLS who wrote the script for the movie. Yates didn't write it down he just shoots it. However I would think that Jo who put so much effort and love into her books would have put her foot down on some of this. But alas no. I mean for example: 1) Dobby is the one who gave the gilly weed not Neville 2) Dobby is the one who tells of the Room of requirments not Neville. 3) They didn't put the sneak thief Mundungus in the movies so how is Aberforth going to get the mirror that helps save them? 4) How all of a sudden is Dobby going to be important enough to get his grave dug by Harry. (and so help me if they cutt that scene there will be hell to pay!) 5) How will they meet Lovegood and see him and Krum arguing? Sorry to take up so much space but I am so mad at The hole movies of Harry Potter. I'm sorry but they have just one too far. . They really haven't shown in the movies just how important the Weasly family is to Harry or really just how Harry's own family just really hates him.. How are they going to show Dudley changing towards harry. They just didn't play up how much Sirius meant to Harry, Nor am I happy about in POA when Lupin said "I reconized you not by your looks but by your eyes you have Lilly's eyes" if Lupin and James were best friends wouldn't it have been he saw his father. AND.. God help me for saying this but that greasy haired Teacher Pro. Snape has not been done justice either. and if they mess with his memories in DH it's on.. Sorry to ramble but I've said my peace for now.

i just think cutting things out like the wedding bill and flur gregovitch convo with HP just sucks it not staying true to the books i can see it be the same with as the ootf they cut to much out

I wish I could use magic so I could curse WB to the deepest, darkest, pits of hell!!!! All this shows is that they are able to give us some proof that they know how to put a trailer(even this 5 second screen of darkness)into a movie! Why can't they just give us the trailer? Or at least give us a 5 second clip from the movie instead of this black screen then the movie title. At this point, I would settle for WB to start playing a message saying that they have filmed something! *kicks wall and screams*
