Ok. Time for an over view of everything that's been going on, been rumoured and been officially "released." As an avid Harry Potter fan, a dedicated reader for years on years, I have to say I too place alot in store in the movies. For example, when I heard that Dobby was going to be replaced by Neville in the last few movies (It's happened a few times now) I was almost distraught to the point where I was angry at the movie makers before I'd even seen the films themselves. But now, having seen them and been through the book-to-film process 5 times and coming up to the 6th of 8th, we've all got used to the idea that the movies aren't always going to be exactly the same as the books - and you know what? Perhaps they shouldn't be. The books are fantastic, don't get me wrong. But the movies simplify things for a viewing audience, a 2 hour time slot to take the viewers into another world and follow a quickly running plot - it's not like a book where JK can spend countless chapters creating deep and mystifying plots. Sometimes things have to be changed to make the movies more understanding and bring sense to some hard-to-follow plots. JK oversees everything that goes on in all the movies, and if she is ok with, say, Bill and Fleur being taken out of the 6th film, then perhaps we should all get a grip and realise that the films AREN'T THE BOOKS and that things like this happen! We should all be happy that our favourite series has the chance to become the award winning, world renowned films that they are today. Even after all this, half the rumours circulating haven't been officially released and so people are getting all hyped up or aggrivated over nothing! Breath in, breath out. Realise that the movies aren't the books, and they do their best. David Yates and the entire WB team are doing a fantastic job to follow the series through from start to finish and give us readers a chance to see our beloved books come to life in front of us. exactly, kokoro_ravenclaw. what are in the books may not entirely be great if transported into the big screen. they are two different mediums. but i must confess i have been also disappointed with the movies at times... but i got over it. c'mon, it's harry potter! you'll love it no matter how it looks on screen :)

Here's something off topic, but VERY exciting!: It's a rumor that New Line Cinema is currently looking for a director for the movie adaption of the video game Shadow of the Colossus! For anyone who hasn't played Shadow of the Colossus, it's the best game I have ever played, the story is amazing and heart-wrenching, and it's a fast-paced, fantasy game! I wonder who the director will be?

WTF!!! You've gotta to be KIDDING me! Where do I start?! 1st what was that little bit of dialogue going on - was that suppose to get me excited?! Of anything it made me more HUNGRIER and ... MAD! And 2ndly, what with them cutting characters out, in stuff?! I mean, I understand that you gotta shorten stuff and all for the little buggers - so they can park it. But what about the rest of us? I mean, this dude cuts out the most important piece for the next film to come! I mean, 1st it BLOWING a HOLE in the ROOM OF REQUIREMENT : which plays a huge part in the sixth book, and even bigger part in the seventh! Then he cuts out Bill & Fleur in this film like their story is insufficient in the seventh book. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS MAN, CAN ANYONE TELL ME?! It just sucks that because we're huge HP fan we're gonna see it no matter how sucky it is. It's gonna do great in the box office, and feel thats why he does it like that ... it's not gonna make much of a different whether it's good or bad. We're still gonna see it, I know I am. I've been planning it sents last year. This all sucks thats all. :(

Rose37: Well they are alot cheaper that the HP books. I got the paperback twilight yesterday for $8.88 i think and i got the hardback New Moon for like $13.72. I didn't think I would really care for the books either but i read the first 100 or so pages of twilight yesterday afternoon and last night I was havein dreams about vampires. Well the Cullen vampires. Good thing they don't drink human blood,lol. The books are worth 10 buck each, well I think so anyway.

Isn't anyone enjoying all the suspense and tension? Let's face it, we will all get to see the film in November, then only two more left.... then.....I appreciate that some people are desperate for info, I am a HP fanatic so so am I, but closer to the movie we will have more, remember all the clips from OOTP b4 it was released? And obviously they cant fit all the 600 and odd pages in 2 and a half hours or whatever, they have to make cuts and changes, and I for one think it has worked out reasonably well up until now, yeah I do get annoyed when certain stuff is left out, but they do the best they can!

The story plot for the movies are way of the charts by now, it is not even funny how different the movies and books are!!! Also I will see if the my money is worth ten bucks or not. I know that isn't alot of money for a book, but I have tried so hard to move away from hp, than no book has ever gone past the first chapter, without being brought back to the library the next day. That I don't want to end up happening again!!!
