whoa, I've watched it about 50 times now. Love it! doesn't give to much away of everything that happens, which is great since it is a 'teaser' trailer. My biggest concern about HBP was that I needed to get an awesome young Tom and this kid is just perfect! Shills when he says "I can speak to snakes too" The look of the orphanage is just amazing, can't wait for the movie!

sorry to put a downer on it, but it wasn't what i'd been hoping for. i might have missed it but as far as i can remember... there was hardly anything of hogwarts, no snape, no draco, any of the other order members, no hermione, just quite a few things that makes harry potter what it is. this felt like a trailer to a harry potter spin off kinda thing? anyone else agree? or were my expectations just too high? also, sorry if i've missed this somewhere but is there news on any other hbp trailers? this can't be the only one, there's probably another with all the stuff i've just complained about... if so, i take it all back and warner bros. are crazily cool again ;) aha

The scene with the field running is when Belatrix and Greyback attack then on Christmas... there're not in the book..... Harry and Ginny scape to the field, and Belatrix and Greyback try to kill both.... When Greyback goes to Ginny, Harry jinx him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will be AMAZING!

Hey Guys, I just had a thought. Maybe their having that stupid attack on the Burrow in this movie because they're not having it in 7. Maybe in 7 it will be Lupin and Tonk's wedding instead, since Bill and Fleur have never been introduced in the movies. that would actually make some twisted sort of Movie-making sense, and I love Lupin and Tonks so I hope I'm right. And I thought the Trailer was awesome, maybe Gambon will do a bit better in thsi movie, but I won't let my hopes get too high on that one. SOOO EXCITED for HBP though! Dobby's Socks! Jaimieanne: Yeah, I think that is Greyback. If you listen carefully, you can hear a growl. I think that's in the newly added scene where the Death Eaters attack the Burrow. I was really curious about the new scene at the Burrow, but--by the looks of this teaser--I think it's going to add lots of intensity to the film. I know it's only the beginning, but I really, truly, deeply think that this is going to be--by far--the best Harry Potter movie in the series. It has a "Classical" and "Epic" qualitiy that a few of the previous films were lacking.

WHERE'S THE POTIONS BOOK?! This trailer makes it look like Voldemort/Riddle is the Half-Blood Prince. Loving the orphanage, though!

I thought the trailer was pretty great. Sure it would have been nice to see some of other characters, but we know they will be in the film. This trailer focuses on what the main theme of the book was, the relationship between harry, dumbledore, and voldemort. I really like the tone that Yates has set with this film, I was worried it was going to be a bunch of ron/lavender/hermione silliness, sort of the calm before the Deathly Hallows storm, but it seems as if this film will include all the tones of the book. Anyone else concerned that the trailer closed with "This Year" as opposed to 11/21/2008 like most trailers do? I hope this doesnt mean the film release date would be pushed back (what a shocker that would be with a 4 month delayed teaser trailer)

OMG!!! I had to watch the trailer 5 trillion times to get everything but I finally did. Amazing. At first glance it looks like they only show you the little Voldy aspect to the book but upon closer inspection there's so much more, Ginny running in her nightgown could have been the attack on Hogwarts by Draco since it happened at night, there was obviously Ron poisoned and then someone with a ring, which can only be the Gaunt's ring, they couldn't show EVERYTHING of course, since it's only a teaser, but by the looks of it, they're making the movie that this book demands, and it was definately worth the wait just to know that. Bloody Brilliant.

Wow, that was really really awesome!!! It all looked so great - the visual, the effects, the music! It had a really sinister feel to it as well, especially towards the end where it's just Dumbledore and Harry's voices over a black screen; really sets the mood! Can't wait!!

It worries me a little that the gaunts aren't in the trailer though. I had heard they were cutting them out but it is one of the things that I just can't believe until I see it, especially with the gaunts being kind of important in the 7th book. Oh well, we will find out....GREAT TRAILER!!!!!

I'm really disappointed. Michael Gambon sounded like he was trying to hard to seem like Chris Harris and the young Tom didn't have anywhere near enough malice in his voice.
