If they were thinking about it,they shouldn't of released a trailer that said November,maybe they should of said something about their plans instead. I'm sure they can't get the november spot back,but there's December and January..and what about the spot Twilight left? If it came out in December or January,then it'd be out on DVD by the summer...but if they didn't leave November,then it would of been ready for Christmas,just like almost always..

People, why all the hopelessness? Why do so many claim to KNOW that WB won't change the date to a closer time? I mean, we all know WB won't change the date back to November 21st due to the Twilight news, but it still could change it to December or something. I don't care if we have a 1/9,000,000,000,000,000 chance of getting the date changed to a better time. (And I'll admit, that may very well be the odds we have!) We have to do SOMETHING, and we have to do it wholeheartedly, without the feeling that it won't work out. Otherwise WB will sense our doubt, and that will be that.

Also, if this idea just came up three to four weeks ago (and their sole motivator is money) then why did it take them so long to get us a teaser? I think there might be delays with post-production and they just don't want to admit it.

And now, when I had hoped you had finnaly gotten it right and realized your huge mistake and movied it back to winter ... and now this ----- Thanks alot ---- I wish I could say I wont see it - just to protest you guys screwwing us again, but that would be a lie! While petitioning might not work to change the date of THIS movie, as Twilight has already taken its spot, it will show the WB that the move they are making is potentially hazardous to their profits (the main reason they do ANYTHING is for the green), and they might think again before the consider an entire fanbase as wallets rather than customers and loyal fans.

I propose that all Potter fans boycott the movie - but just opening weekend. Go see the movie the week after it comes out. You'll still get to see the movie, but it'll seriously mess up the studios :)

Harry Potter is being delayed because Horn may not get his bonus next year if he does not come up with a way to increase revenue for 2009. He does not care if Harry Potter makes more money this year or next. Sorry if I hurt anyone

releasing the movie in the summer was a move based solely on greed. hate mail and petitions won't have any effect, though, because the people who sign the petitions are going to see the movie anyway. if the movie doesn't win the box office on opening weekend, though, you can be sure people will be fired.

I'm conflicted. One one hand, I agree with people like ghbrat, let's just grow up and get on with our lives. On the other, I think that just MAYBE, we have a chance of doing something. There are lots of good ideas swirling about, and I don't know what to think...

I was about to see Dark Knight for the first time two days ago because my dad offered to take me but I said no, and its all because of my boycott against them now. And you'd think that WB would want my money. P.S. Boycotts work, petitions don't. People can talk negatively against them all they want, (it's actually good for them believe it or not) but until they start losing in profits the execs are smiling all the way to the bank.
