chommy, When Sorcerer's Stone was released the trio where not as busy as they are now and where giving as many interviews as they are now requested. Now the premiers are a big deal.

bethinoz: Which is why I said 'might'. ;p

Posted by haripotar94 Aug 22nd 2008

Boycotting is crap WB is the best.Im gonna see the movie 20 times with my friends.

Posted by bethinoz Aug 22nd 2008

Are the anti-boycotting people WB employees?

Posted by witchy_poo Aug 22nd 2008

well i say boycott all WB films this year

Posted by chommy Aug 22nd 2008

bethinoz: No! They're the smart people who know boycotting will do nothing but make people go 'Those HP nerds are idiots!' My brothers and friends made fun of me when I told them about it!

Posted by bethinoz Aug 22nd 2008

Do nothing and nothing changes. What did they make fun of you about? You were lied to and have a right to be upset. If you do nothing but sit back and whine then they should make fun of you.

Posted by chommy Aug 22nd 2008

What we're doing is sitting back and waiting! You people are sitting back and whining! Am I whining? I'm mad, too, but I'm smart enough to know that boycotting will do nothing! Previous comments have said that people have watched Clone Wars already and that's the only major Wb movie coming out this year (at least to my knowledge) so your 'boycotting' schemes are useless! People need to get a grip and use their brains! WE CANNOT TO ANYTHING!

Posted by bethinoz Aug 22nd 2008

Obviously the people who went to Clone Wars feel the same way you do. If you are sitting back and waiting why are on line complaining about the people who want to do something. The only way to get big business to listen is to hurt there pocket books. Big business has brain washed most people into believing they can do nothing when they get poor service. So that is exactly what we get poor service.

Posted by TrancendingVista Aug 22nd 2008

Honestly what is wrong with postponing the movie? No Harry Potter fan LIKES it, but it's LEGAL, and we don't know any of the WB execs personally (I don't anyway) so they have nothing to owe us. They're being courteous for apologizing, in fact. And stomping our fists demanding entertainment makes us look like a mob, not righteous protestors. WB could do a lot worse! These are the people who spent billions of dollars to make the most expensive movies on the planet! How can you slam them as "big buisiness only out for money" if you buy their products loyally, and then only get upset when they muck up a release date? And you know what will happen if you try to cut funds from them by boycotting them? They could muck up more release dates. Plus, Alan Horn has an interesting point. Come back this place July, they'll have the Half-Blood Prince movie out. A few months later, Deathly Hallows, then in even less time Deathly Hallows 2. Then the theme park. Won't that be cool to have an entire year's time when there's tons of movie news? Give them some time to get prepared first, and maybe you'll have more fun. Maybe somewhere along the way Harry Potter fans forgot this was all about fun and lost all their patience...

Fine, so WB owns the movie and they can do what they want with it, we have no control over it right? WROOOOONG!!! I jusr won't buy their product!!! That's as much power and control I have and I intend to use it. I won't give WB a penny of my hard earned dollars!!! How's that!!! If we all do that, the impact will be huge!!! After all, we make the numbers at the box office. WB makes the movie, but we have the money they COVET!!! That's why they changed the movie for July! Because they are GREEDY! But guess what, I am free to NOT give them a penny! Now, who's boss??

Posted by amy4dan1327 Aug 22nd 2008

man, seeing the teaser trailer makes me want to see the movie right now!!!! i don't think i'll be able to wait until july, especially when i've been looking forward to seeing the 6th film since i last saw the 5th one!!!

Posted by haripotar94 Aug 23rd 2008

OH god this movie is gonna be so great.

Posted by Raven_Meadowes Aug 23rd 2008

I have this feeling that the comments written by the people such as 'haripotar94' are actually written by the WB people.

Posted by chommy Aug 23rd 2008

Raven, you're wrong. We're as pissed as you but we know that boycotting will do nothing, which is all we're trying to say. Just wait patiently and please stop acting like you guys can make a difference to a big company like WB. I'm all for hate mails, though (I've send a few myself) but all this boycotting business is stupid and rubbish.

Posted by chommy Aug 23rd 2008

By the way, can people stop saying that we're WB employees? That's one of the most stupidest things I've ever heard. Please, grow up. Just because we disagree with you doesn't mean we're WB employees. We're just people who are smart and aren't in agreement with you.

Posted by bethinoz Aug 23rd 2008

chommy - Hate mail is smart? How can boycotting do nothing when you say the only thing that matters to WB is money. Do you know what boycotting means?

Posted by chommy Aug 23rd 2008

I'm not saying hate mail is smart, but I just like it. ;p I mean, what else can I do? xD And boycotting CAN do something but since WB's big movie (The Dark Knight) is already out and since it already made so much money this year then boycotting is useless! They already made lots of money this year so boycotting is, really, useless! And I know perfectly what boycotting means, thank you very much.

Posted by Twilighterpotter Aug 24th 2008

It's not Twilights fault and I LOVED THAT SERIES SO I'M GOING TO WATCH THAT MOVIE 3 OR 4 TIMES THAT WEEKEND IT'S NOT STOPPING ME AND MY 7 FRIENDS. I'LL HAVE TO WAIT FOR HARRY NEXT YEAR.

Posted by bethinoz Aug 24th 2008

Twilighterpotter - I do not think anyone said to boycott Twilight. Twilight is not a WB film.

Posted by angelina_johnson92 Aug 24th 2008

Wow very exciting! lol

Posted by haripotar94 Aug 25th 2008

Hey Raven dont call me WB man I just think the movie is gonna be great thats why Im gonna give money to WB because I have the feeling that this movie gonna be so GREAT.

Posted by GrD Aug 27th 2008

@ TrancendingVista you can wait by yourself and I'll go on another adventure. :) http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=9YIY3Q7x0IY

I have been reading what every one has been saying about the new release date which i have to agree sucks big time. As a fan who has read all of the books and seen all the movies that are out so far I agree with every one of you who wants to strom the castle(wb) that they are just doing it for the money. With every one either not seeing it or only seeing it once and those who are not going to see any thing that has WB on it, wb is going to lose money that they would make if they would just put the movie back to Nov. I thik that if you are posting that people need to just get over it that we are all going to watch it anyway are tratiors or work for wb. Do i think that all this bitching is going to work probably not but mircles happen every day and this could be one. If all of this does work I know I will be one of many happy people. To those who are emailing, writhing, or calling wb to complain I have to say keep it up and make sure you acttually lodge good complaints and not just say you are mean greedy s.o.b.s cause i think it will have a better effect. So keep it up and let OUR VOICES BE HEARD.

It's over now; we just have to sit tight for 11 more months. Just because the movie got postponed doesn't mean you have to throw a fit; it's like getting angry about not getting what you want (In which case, we did). Everyone, just stop bugging out about the HBP delay, 'cause it's not helping; actually, all it's doing is making us HP fans look like a bunch of little kids who found out playtime was cancelled. If Harry Potter fans start joining Twilight websites, I'll know it's because of the attitude of the rest of the Harry Potter community about the delay.

Posted by az_hpfan Aug 28th 2008

wizard_vamp_6244215 shut up no one cares if you like the bitching or not. even if all the complaing doesnt work us harry potter fans can girl about it if we want. we dont care if we sound like a bunch of little kids. at least here on mugglenet we can yell scream or whatever we need to do to deal with the july release date and have understanding from others who feel the same way. if you dont like it then quit coming to mugglenet and reading how people feel. ITS CALLED FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!!!!!! so get over it.

Posted by Missalicious Aug 29th 2008

I'm writing a strongly worded letter to WB about their evil teasing ways!!!!!!!
