8 to 11 years old?! Why do contests pick such young age restrictions - don't they know that most of us have grown up with Harry... and aren't eleven anymore? Sigh.

Posted by LindseyBindsey Nov 21st 2008

L0L. i think most of us are too old for that

Posted by tiassa Nov 21st 2008

agreed, however after so many years learning to just say 'good luck, kids!' is a good idea.:)

Posted by hprebel311 Nov 21st 2008

those kids weren't even around when it started. most of them were much to young to be a true part of it all. still, good luck little kids. meanwhile......... ..WARNER BROS FAILS AGAIN. NO PREVIEW IN MANYYYY THEATERS. STRIKE 2.

Someone should really do a big contest like this for the older ones. My sister's nine and she doesn't fully grasp the concept of Harry Potter. In fact I think the only reason she likes it is because I do. Not all of us in the late teens or twenties who've read Harry from early on haven't forgotten him. Sigh.

Posted by merrymarge Nov 21st 2008

Hey, don't feel so bad! I am well past the age limit. I would love to meet JKR, thank her for the books and ask a few more questions.

Posted by i_am_nagini_777 Nov 21st 2008

i thought it said she was pregnant

Posted by Eviegrl941 Nov 21st 2008

Eight...to...eleven. *sigh* Those kids won't even understand the opportunity enough to fully appreciate it. Meeting JKR is my DREAM (since i don't know what I want to be), but these kids are more special apparently.

I would love to go if I could win tickets. Unfortunately, I'm not aged 8-11. Darn. I've been reading Melissa Anelli's book Harry, A History, and it really is making me wish I could have gone to any of the J.K. Rowling events.

thank you rob1007

My comment is going to much like everyone elses: 8-11??? What? (Can I just make it clear that this comment is not inferring that those aged 8-11, or any age that isn't mine, are not proper fans) Older fans get left out. The fact is when I first read the books nearly all of the entrants to this comp will not have been born. I sometimes feel that the older fans are discriminated against. The first book is aimed at about 11 year olds. The later books are for teenagers to young adults (in my opinion). So I read the first book when I was the right age... it isn't my fault I grew up. Ah well... I *will* meet JKR one day... hopefully *sigh*

8-11?! WHAT?! The majority of Harry Potter fans are older then that!

Posted by LunaLovegood123 Nov 22nd 2008

I AM SO WITH angelina_johnson92 !!!!!!!!!! The older fans are left out, and that doesnt make us feel any better. :(
