Heyman reveals DH filming length at Yes Man premiere Speaking at the premiere of Yes Man in Los Angeles, Potter producer David Heyman talked briefly with The Press Assocation about the film franchise and what they're planning for Deathly Hallows:

David revealed work is about to begin in the new year on the seventh movie in the series.

"We finished the sixth film which'll be coming out next summer and we start filming the seventh which we'll be breaking into two parts for a 54 week shoot starting in February."

So they'll be filming for the better part of the next year. This excites me only because I'm doing a study abroad program through my college this summer and have made it my mission to try catching them on location! :P

Wait a minute. When he said they have finished movie six, could he possibly mean that they only just finished? Because that's what it sounds like.

Posted by kimmy16 Dec 18th 2008

Maybe they went back and touched up some things from HBP. Dang, 54 weeks is more than a year...

Posted by stellathemuggle Dec 18th 2008

So the cast and crew will be working for over a year? Ouch.

Posted by kokoro_ravenclaw Dec 19th 2008

That's awesome! The longer they film, the better. This makes me so confident that, yet again, Warner Brothers will be blowing our minds with the greatest filmed series ever. EVER. FOREVER. D on't mess with me, I'm a HP fan. :P

Posted by cooljean86 Dec 19th 2008

does this mean that DH 1 AND 2 are being filmed over 54 weeks or just 1. does this mean an even longer delay before the first one? I'm confused.

Posted by mistyrevenge Dec 19th 2008

I do get sick of those stupid people that keep complaing that tey want the film released now. HBP is released in July - just accept it and stop acting like petulant little moaning morons. I agree with what David Heyman says about being lucky finding Dan, Emma and Rupert - I don't think there have any been any negative stories about them acting like divas on set, and that's saying something considering how long they've been doing it and the reputation that child stars have in general.

whatever

Posted by alexxx Dec 19th 2008

dang that's over a year....

Posted by kleigh629 Dec 19th 2008

WB had better NOT consider pushing the release of Deathly Hallows back like they did HBP, or there will be WAR I tell you....

Posted by angelina_johnson92 Dec 19th 2008

Wow 54 weeks is a looooong time.

Posted by LilyLuna Dec 20th 2008
