Empire Magazine HBP preview scan now online
Yesterday we told you about Empire Magazine's upcoming preview of Half-Blood Prince. As it turns out, the February issue came a little sooner than expected, and now a scan from the magazine can be seen right here.In it, there are a couple of new behind the scenes photos during filming. They include a nice picture of director David Yates speaking with the Phelps twins on set of their Wizard Wheezes shop.

First!
is anyone else bothered by the fact that they're adding stuff to the movie, or is that just me??
Cool! : )
Whats with the "Watchword"? Prestige?? Is that supposed to mean something?
Wow- Empire really hated the 'Order of the Phoenix' book! They call it the worst of the series and say that 'nothing happened'. Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes looks great, though!
wow the shop looks very nice!
The shop looks great... can't wait to get the issue! I just wish it was July already so I wouldn't have to just look at the stills from the film! {darn you Warner Brothers} P.s Thanx Muggle Net for aLL your work, no one seems to say it enough!
Wow, Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes is stunning! Love the twins' outfits as well.
Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes looks awesome! And I Agree with MuggleMEghan, Thanks for everything you do Mugglenet staffers!
w.w.w. looks brilliant! its just like how i imagined it!-hedwig7-i think the new stuff looks really amazing!
OMG, is that the twins' shop; Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes? It looks awesome, like I'd actually want to buy something from it! Urgh, I wish the movie would get here!!! Thanks again Mugglenet! :)
The joke shop looks perfect!
that was the worst article!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! the writer seemed to appeal only to the people who watched the movies and not the real fans. WHO WANTS A NEW SCENE WHEN THEY CUT OUT HALF OF THE REAL SCENES??????????????????? ???? anybody know what scene that was in the bottom right corner cuz it confused me
lol, what a horrible article! OotP the worst book??? It's quite the opposite: Order of the Phoenix is one of the best of the Series, but unfortunately the worst of the movies so far.. I'm not thrilled that Yates is directing the rest of the movies. I think he confuses Death Eaters with the monster from "Lost" - black smoke... seriously?!?
No hedwig7, you're not the only one... I like the shop. but I was looking forward to the magenta robes... The shop still looks really good...
Oooo cool! Does this mean that the magazine is already out? Or not...?
Oh, but I really love the pic of the joke shop! It looks like it'd be so much fun to just wander through it! I can't wait to see the shop in the movie.
Yay! Weasley's
First ever comment. Never felt the need before. But. Why in the heck are they going to burn the Burrow?
i still dont get where the whole burrow attack comes in either Squiggle! im pretty p.oed. that theyre adding a random scene and like takeing out some! plus OOTP was probably one of if not the best books in the Series. the movie was good if u have never read the book but horrible if u have--The TWINS LOOK AMAZING!!! theyre some of my favorite characters!
o yea i forgot to add that that was THE WORST article ive ever read in my whole entire life-including the one about the delay of HBP!!!
I have to agree with them. OotP was the best movie, and the worst book. It's pretty uneventful and the book was way to long. HBP was much better, and Slughorn, Tom Riddle, Harrys journey with Dumbledore, Ginny, Malfoys mission and not to mention Won Won and Lav Lav made the book so much more interesting than book 5. David Yates is the best director for the HP films. He captures the right tone of the books, and takes risks. For book to movie adaptations, what fans dont understand is capturing the right tone is more important than leaving in every scene. And who cares if they added in a scene? I dont care as long as 1. It doesn't change the overall plot 2. It doesn't seem like something that would never happen in HP. JK said herself she wrote a scene simmilar to the attack on the burrow one, but cut it out. (Ex. Ron and Voldemort becoming gay and flying to Mars on a purple unicorn is NOT something that would happen in HP) So, just think if Yates did a good job working with one of the worst books, (and yes it WAS one of the worst-even JK doesnt like it that much) just think how much BETTER HBP will be since its one of the best books. I'd rather see a well done film that changed some things than a crappy movie thats the book presented EXACTLY on screen!
yeesh! another costume crime committed!!!
OOtP is actually my fave of the books and least fave of the movies. Lovin' the look of the joke shop though, can't wait! Not sure about the whole extra scene business - sounds dodgy But heck, the twins look hot as usual!
oh. my. god. we are going to see the whole fricking movie in pictures before it comes out in theaters. we'll be sitting there the whole time going : "saw that one coming." "saw that one in a pic online." "read that in the book." "oh. whole movie. i... kinda saw it already... darn."
didn't say darn. said d a m n.
can anyone tell me if empire mag sells in NY? i cant seem to find it in any store. if you could let me kno that would be great!!!
Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes really does look GREAT! I can't wait for the film!!!!!
No way was book five the worst. I think it was the best. They could have made it soo much better - i mean they scrapped Quidditch altogether, not to mention poor Dobby. But from the trailers HBP looks brilliant. I'm so excited, and WWW looks Ah-mazeeeng! :D:D
Weasley's Wizard Wheezes looks amazing! I hope this movie is better than the 5th one. That's my favorite book in the series and the movie was very disappointing. I love long books with lots of detail about everything, and OotP was obviously the longest and the most detailed. hp_is_effing_awesome: you must be one of those people that is a fan of the movies and that is the only reason you read the books otherwise you would actually care if they added scenes or took scenes out. the scenes they're adding obviously aren't major parts in the storyline becuase then they'd be in the books and would've made the final cut and the scene's they're cutting are actually important; that's why they're in the books in the first place. it is possible for the directors to make a good movie that has all the scenes in it (it would be extremely lenghthy, but i'm sure we'd all be willing to watch it anyways), and it would be easier to do if they maybe read the books before filming the movies so they have an idea how the film should be done. i swear, no one reads them! news flash: the books are way better and the movies aren't good representations of that.
HP &OotP are one of my fav books---i still liked the movie anyway lmao im glad the twins cut their hair--and the SHOP LOOKS BLOODY BRILLIANT
nicely pit gimme_a_stage_101! theyre taking out dumbledores funeral which is one of the most important and deep paarts in HBP. How does that make you fell hp_is_effing_awesome? and they already fimed it! so it completly does not make sense. Also, how could you say Order of The Phonenix is the wrost book in The Series? Its is probably my favorite! It has so much with Harry constantly being on edge with Sirius, the DA, Harry and Cho, LUNA LOVEGOOD, Harry running away from Umbridge, the TWINS scene, and we finally learn to take this war seroiusly cuz Sirius dies! (haha seroiusly!) Plus, we finally learn the phrophecy which makes the books much more deep and scary and lays out Harry's plan. Not anything against HBP or anything: that's also amazing! Still, WB could hae done a lot better with the movie. No Quidditch? How do yuo respond to that? Quidditch is important because it reveals Ron's truee eotions and how not being laughed at is important to him. In conclusion, OOTP is one of the most important books!
yay twins! I can't wait to see them! They are my favorites!
