CBBC Newsround has just posted their interview with Evanna Lynch. In it, she talks about getting the role of Luna, reactions from fans, and much more. Read it here! She was amazing. Her accent is perfect; soft, thoughtful, and adorably Irish. Also, she looks so Luna-esque, and has a total Luna-ish vibe. I'm so excited for OotP, now. She's one of the best likenesses to my mental image we've had so far.

Luna is one of my favorite charecters, so I'm really glad they found someone so PERFECT!
luna is my all-time favorite character (with the exceptions of hermione and dobby), and i think she will be great. she's about 90% of how i pictured her!

he voice is just perfect, i wasnt sure when i heard she had an irish accent, but the dreamy quality is fantastic!! i wish her all the luck in the world for the film - i know she'll be great!! x x
I saw it on Newsround and hher Irish accent is so cute! It is like Luna has stepped out of the book, and her voice even has Luna's dreamlike quality to it. She is perfect, just like J.K. said.
She looks exactly like i pictured Luna to be!!! She has the whole 'wide eye' thing going on and her voice sounds nice and thoughtful. Like Luna's dreamy voice. I can't wait!!!
I think Evanna will do a great job! She's pretty close to how I pictured Luna, and she's a huge Potter fan, so she'll know how Luna is. I pretty confident that she'll make the movie awesometastic!

She'll just be perfect in the 5th movie. Everyone in the interview said so even J.K and who knows the characters better than her?
Words can't express my jealousy, but I'm really happy for Evanna. At least she's a big Potter fan and not jus some random girl who wanted to be famous. My brother's being a real prat and thinking of all these ways Evanna might die so that I could get that part and I keep telling him to shup up cos that's absolutely awful x_x I AM STILL DISAPPOINTED ABOUT HOW THEY DYED HER HAIR. It's meant to be dirty blonde and scraggly [I think that's the word JKR used] not platinum blonde and straight. *cough*female malfoy*cough*
"*cough*female malfoy*cough*" I think they're trying to distinguish her from Hermione's hair color. It'd be fine if they actually HAD Emma Watson's hair to be a dark brown, but since #3 it hasn't. In fact, it has been bordering on blonde. So I guess they're just trying to make Luna unique. Besides, it's not a malfoy blond. It's a moon blonde.

The hair colour isn't important!!!!!! She still looks great as Luna! And she definately does not look like a female Malfoy....
You know, I thought her hair was pretty. In the first pictures we got of her, it was lot more blonde, but in the interview it looked much paler and gentler.

Aww, I really like her. She looks different from the Luna that I have in my own mind but I think she is going to be perfect for the role. Even in the pictures she looks sort of dreamy and out of it. Can't wait for OOTP!!!

Evanna seems really nice! im glad she was picked because she's a major fan of the books and not some random kid who wanted to be in a movie...like she really knows the character and all...and she looks like luna too! I hope they put up the video soon!

She seems like she is going to be a great Luna. She has a slight physical resemblance to my Luna but it is her personality that makes her. In the interview she had an air about her that was extremely like Luna and her voice is soft and dreamy. I think she'll be fantastic in the role.

i finally saw the video of the interview of the one playing luna it was so good i thought she was perfect for luna before and now i think she was the only choice for luna nice radish earrings and irish accent.

I agree with TheFifthMarauder. She is exactly what I pictured Luna to look like when I read the book. She is cute and tiny. She also looks like she is the quiet and shy type. I think she will be perfect.
ah, okay. I found it. Gosh, that's a low bit-rate video. I hope someone else in the community recorded it so that we can get a better quality clip.
