Dan Radcliffe ranks #70 on Forbes Celebrity 100
Dan Radcliffe ranks #70 on Forbes Celebrity 100 Forbes has released their list of the Most Powerful Celebrities, and Harry Potter's Dan Radcliffe comes in at #70:

The 19-year-old continues to rake in $25 million each time he dons his circular glasses to play Harry Potter. The sixth installment of the franchise hits theaters in late July. Radcliffe has two more films to go; the final book was split in two movies. It remains to be seen if he can become a box-office draw outside of the Warner Bros. fantasy blockbusters.

Thanks to Alexis for the tip!

Hmm can't say whether this is a fair rating or not. Seeing as the HP movies are like the biggest of all time with the largest following and the most popular book of all time, I am sure Dan is far more popular than many of these other actors and actresses on this list, but hey, if they say he's #70 then we've got to accept it.

$25 million a movie is about the same amount as many famous actors in Hollywood. Not bad.

If he could only give me a mill...

Posted by mistyrevenge Jun 4th 2009

Dan is listed not just because of HP - and remember there hasn't a HP film released since summer 2007 - he's listed because of Equus as well. This is why Emma and Rupert aren't on the list - because they didn't work enough last year or garner the same attention/earnings. @Ruubski - I'll queue right behind you for the million handout - actually even a couple thousand would be suffice.

25 mil each movie? wow!...and he def. will become a box office draw outside of hp for sure

Posted by hpintwense06 Jun 4th 2009

Wow that's pretty awesome. Go Dan! :]

Posted by hpintwense06 Jun 4th 2009

Hold up, just a question... how did Mrs. Rowling not make the list? Do the people on the list have to have had a major cash-in within the past year? Because she's supposed to be very rich. idk.

If you read the whole article, it's pretty clear that it's about income and celebrity hype during a specific window of time. JK - no book. But Stephanie Myer, author of you-know-what, made it this time. But Jolie is top, and Penn & Teller are in there too... so essentially this list has meaning only for the industry that drives it - not so much a nod to character, value, or talent. (or brother Radcliffe would be much higher on the list!) :-)

I could only wish to see $25 million total in my entire lifetime. Sigh, off to find that magical winning lottery ticket.

Posted by hermionerocks96 Jun 4th 2009

Is it just me or did EVERYBODY know that they were splitting up the last book into 2 movies? Am I just THAT out of it? Now I'm upset, I want 1 movie! It was 1 book! They are so retarded!

Posted by hermyluvr Jun 4th 2009

It says that it's remained to be seen whether he is as good outside the HP series...but hasn't he proved himself with Equus? Or had Forbes not heard about that?

Posted by pure_blood_princess Jun 4th 2009

hermionerocks96, if they made Deathly Hallows into one movie, it would either be super crappy or it would be 7hrs long. There is no way they can fit the whole book into one watchable movie. And they can't cut much out of this book (unlike the others) because almost everything that happens in this book is essential to the story.

i agree with pure_blood_princess you got a god point GO DAN!!!!!!!!!!

L0L @Ann.. i Love how you refer to stephenie meyer's work as "you-know-what".. oNLy, it might be mistaken as a feared thing.. lol.. @hermionerocks: that news came out AGES ago.. and why would you wish that it's only one movie, do you know that they actually considered cutting the DEATHLY HALLOWS PART out to make just one movie...!? Luckily, they realized it's impossible and decided to make two movies instead, w/c for me is better b/c it would mean less cuts or n0ne at all..

Yay Dan!!!! I think all of the trio should be on there...but Dan is great! I LOVE HIM!!! It kind of sucks that JK Rowling isn't on there though. I mean what the hell is up with that?! But one of my other favorite celebrities (Angelina JOlie) is Numero UNO!!! Yes!
