Am I the only one who finds this wizard rock stuff lame?

Someone forgot to close the formatting and now all our comments are in italics. xD I wish I could go! They need to do these things in obscure east coast states, I think. There's no way I can do NC -> Missouri when I have school.

Mattrixed: I dont listen to any wizard rock either, but different strokes for different folks...most people here probably listen to them simply because theyre affiliated with HP, do they actually enjoy it? Who knows

mmmm would so go but for the plane tickets...

Posted by _stephaniee_ Aug 28th 2009

dont_look_down...most people found out about the bands because of harry potter, and we love them not just becasue they sing about harry potter but also because they are GOOD bands. And many Wizard Wrockers actually have side projects and bands, and some of us listen to those too. So its not just becasue its affiliated with hp. Its cuz theyre good and we love em!!

Posted by Mattrixed Aug 28th 2009

Good is subjective. Also, people didn't just find out about the bands because of Harry Potter...these bands *exist* because of Harry Potter. I've listened to a wizard rock song or two just to see what it sound like and it doesn't even qualify as rock. But then again, I don't like indie music.

i'm not a fan either, but i actually havnt listened to any songs so does any one have some good suggestions

Posted by dont_look_down Aug 29th 2009

Might be a bit late now, but yes please enlighten us on these 'good' songs stephaniee. Im all ears

Posted by oomboo2 Aug 29th 2009

I think that the Ministry of Magic is the most professional-sounding band. None of these bands are amazing, none of these bands are Main-stream in regards to their style. But some of them, yes, are good. Some of them are absolutely terrible. You just have to dig and find the ones that you like. Anyone who just looks at Harry and the Potters is seriously missing out. I wouldn't call them "good".
