UK Half-Blood Prince DVD and Blu-ray covers revealed?
UK Half-Blood Prince DVD and Blu-ray covers revealed? We've received word that Play.com--a UK DVD distributer--has updated its Half-Blood Prince Blu-ray and DVD pages with the cover art. They've also added the box set covers.

Check them out at the link below!
-Half-Blood Prince Blu-ray cover
-Half-Blood Prince DVD cover
-Harry Potter Complete DVD Box Set
-Harry Potter Complete Blu-Ray Box Set

These covers could change by the release date and the movies are not yet available for pre-order. These are also UK covers, so the US covers may be different.

Thanks to Simon!

They just put the posters on the dvd cover. But I still like them. I can't wait to buy it and they better have TONS of special features!

I approve of the blu-ray cover! It's just too bad I'm going to skip out on these because now that WB is rereleasing 1-5 with extended editions, I don't want to get HBP now...and then later again.

I don't particularly care for the cases that have JUST Harry on them. I don't know why. Maybe because it's like Harry, Ron, and Hermione are kind of a package deal and I just feel like the movie posters and cases should have the three of them on there. Besides, Ron and Hermione are just as important as Harry (in my opinion). Other than that, they look pretty good!

I SERIOUSLY hope these are fake, cause they SUCK BAD. This cover makes the X-Men Origins: Wolverine look good.

The dvd cover looks alot better, better then that one we say a few weeks ago, does look so blank anymore, the background is different from the poster and the other picture, and their closer together. I like it... like the poster.

Oooo cool!! : )

Yeah, the DVD cover's pretty good, but the blu-ray's terrible and that's the one I'll get. I also prefer the tilted blue logo. The brown logo is too similar to the OotP logo. And the straight, formal logo doesn't go with the images that are now in your head which you've gotten from the posters. And, the problem with that poster is that its too bright. They should've use the Dumbledore-Harry on the rock poster. The blu-ray art is boring. I don't care about the 12-disc set, I already have the other films. Oh, and about Extended Edtions... do we really need them? I have never found any use for the deleted scenes in the 1st place. I haven't even see the ones from OotP. I also find them to mess up the film because... well... THEY'RE NOT MEANT TO BE THERE. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT.

That's pretty cool.

A bit strange no release date for the states yet. I've just received a message from amazon.fr concerning my pre-order and it will be released a week earlier that is 19 november. I reckon it should come out around the same date for you.

Posted by ecniv08 Sep 4th 2009

i'm not buying the bluray box set. i'll wait till all 8 movies are out. as for now, maybe just the extended DVD edition will do..

Posted by nME Sep 4th 2009

@ecniv08: Same here. I shuddered in excitement when you said 8 movies though. (:

Has anyone heard about the HBP Blu-Ray set that will fit in the previous (Years 1-5) boxed set that was designed in a Hogwarts trunk? Each movie was styled to look like a textbook at Hogwarts. Will they be releasing Movies 6 and 7/7.5 in those formats, too?? I hope so, or else I wasted a lot of money. :(

Posted by hooked_on_Harry Sep 4th 2009

i don't really care what the cover looks like!!!!! I don't watch the cover, I watch the movie!!!!!!!! Hopefully they have deleted scenes and some bloopers!!!

Posted by Draco_ismine_so_there Sep 4th 2009

I like the blu-ray one actually. the dvd one kinda looks just like every other movie.

Posted by i_am_hermione Sep 4th 2009

I don't want to buy a boxed set with three quarters of the movies... I want them all together. It's not worth it now. And I'm also not buying it that this is really the cover art. those are posters. still-- hoping for a Christmastime release of the DVD!

Posted by LeM Sep 5th 2009

it will be really funny if the DVD was never released in the US PMSL

Posted by iwantorlando05 Sep 5th 2009

I have like 3 copies of OOTP and I really need new copies of SS and COS. By the time WB releases the Ultimate Collector's Edition of movies 1-8...I'm going to have like 5 copies of each movie. But whatever...I can dig it. I love HP!

Posted by krazykobra29 Sep 5th 2009

i wonder when do they come out?

Posted by jojoinpink54 Sep 5th 2009

Oh my gosh. UGLY. I hate how there is always only Harry, or Harry and Dumbledore, and Ron and Hermione. I mean, the whole point is that Harry is not alone, he doesn't have to go at it alone, and plus it just makes for a really boooooorrrrriiiiinnnnnggg g DVD cover...

Posted by HorcruxorHollows Sep 6th 2009

I love that DVD cover, I hope they use that one for Canada. Doe's anyone know the release date? All I know is that it will be out before Christmas.

Posted by jojoinpink54 Sep 6th 2009

On the bottom of the covers it says "artwork subject to change." That sort of makes the current covers invalid or something...

Posted by ajmrowland Sep 6th 2009

Um, haven't any of you guys heard of Photoshop? I've seen some pretty good fake DVD covers come out of that program, but these are only too obvious. And I'm talkign to the posters, not the site.
