That's really great! I didn't know they even had soundtrack awards, but the GOF soundtrack is my favorite of all, and I absolutely LOVE Magic Works!!! I actually think it is my favorite song period, not just my favorite Harry Potter song, but I really like Do the Hippogriff alot too. I hope they win!

Posted by frenchfries Aug 23rd 2006

i like the soundtrack and i hope they win just when did they play this song. i don't remember what magic works sounds like

Posted by Weazleby Aug 23rd 2006

That song was awasome, I really hope it wins...the more awards the better!!

Posted by Boo_On_You Aug 23rd 2006

AHH!! I LOVE THAT SONG! But when Ilisten to it I get sad. I dunno why. "And don't believe this magic can die. No, no, no. This magic can't die!" Hm. I like "This is the Night" a tad better.

Posted by DecemberDrops Aug 23rd 2006

I love all three Yule Ball songs, but "Magic Works" is a brilliant, beautiful piece. I mean, brilliant because the composer thought to use it for Harry Potter ... and it's a beautiful song. I showed it to my music-loving guardian (he was quite well-known a few years ago for his jazz music) and he told me he loved it and thought it was "pretty good music".

Posted by Tutshill_Tornados_Forever Aug 23rd 2006

Great! This song's cool, hope it wins. But I like "This is the Night" even more. In fact, I still prefer the old instrumental ones, like "Leaving Hogwarts", "Fawkes the Phoenix" and "A Window to the Past", but the new ones are good too.

Posted by ilesserthan3neville Aug 23rd 2006

I love this song!! it is one of my favorites of like all time! :D

Posted by LizDig5972 Aug 23rd 2006

hahahahahaha, that song.. its amazing, most deffinatly.

Posted by Leoseeker09 Aug 23rd 2006

I hope they win because it was a well written song.I think it shouldve been nominated at the Academy Awards but I do see why i wasnt nominated. This film was an overall dissapointment but it had a few moments.

Posted by EmAryaLu6 Aug 23rd 2006

I didn't know there were awards for sountracks, but of course I hope they win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by gympiggy004 Aug 23rd 2006

Posted by Little_Nightmare Aug 23rd 2006

That song rocks!!!! GO GOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by TriWizKid Aug 23rd 2006

Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by RavenclawD69 Aug 23rd 2006

I love that song cause I would listen to it before the movie was released. Thats when the Harry Potter hype was at the highest level. And it had a sort of christmas-y warm feel to it. So that song reminds me of that time.

Posted by AnnoyinglyPotter Aug 23rd 2006

Oh I love that song, it reminds me of the night I saw the midnight release of the GOF and the day that followed. It was a truely magical time, it was a long weekend for me, it snowed, and a whole group of my friends and I (over 30 of us) went to the movie, even though I had seen it less then like 18 hours before, and I dressed up... just goes to show that Magic DOES Work.

Posted by StrangeButCool Aug 23rd 2006

cool, they did good job. i'd write more but i just got back from cross-country (aka torture) and i'm either gonna die or throw up all over my keyboard.

Posted by harry1991 Aug 23rd 2006

this is actually my most favourite song . i am listening to it now and i was surprised when i saw that it was nominated . it's very romantic and i love it so much , i hope it'll win

Posted by harry1991 Aug 23rd 2006

And dance your final dance This is your final chance To hold the one you love You know you've waited long enough So, Believe that magic works Don't be afraid Of bein' hurt Don't let this magic die The answer's there Oh, just look in her eyes And make Your final move Mmm, don't be scared She wants you to It's hard You must be brave Don't let this moment slip the way Believe that magic works Don't be afraid Afraid of bein' hurt No, don't let this magic die Ooh, the answer's there Yeah, just look in her eyes And don't believe that magic can die No, no, no, this magic can't die So dance, your final dance. 'Cause this is, your final chance. >>>> the lyrics

YAY !!! I looooove Magic Works, I listen to it all the time .. + that it reminds me of a dream I had about Sirius .. *tear* well, anyway, as much as I love the song from Brokeback Mountain, I have to say that Magic Works deserves it .... OMG, guess who is nominated for best composer ??!! DANNY ELFMAN !!! WOOOOOT !!! and Dario Marianelli too! Yyyyyyes.

Posted by performingmonkey Aug 23rd 2006

It's a good song, well they're all great songs written by Jarvis Cocker, but 'Magic Works' is classic him. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of the band (featuring two members of Radiohead) in the movie, but there was just no time. At least all three songs made it to the movie.

Posted by rhea Aug 23rd 2006

that's so awsome! i hope they win.

Posted by iwishiwashermione Aug 23rd 2006

i actually like "potter waltz" or the "foreign visitors arrive" song the best. but i hope this one wins anyway!!

Posted by GorgeousGinnyxoxoxox Aug 23rd 2006

Out of all the songs i wouldn't think that "Magic Works" would be nominated, but hey who cares!!!! I hope it wins!!!!

Posted by ermynee78 Aug 23rd 2006

awesome!i hope they win!

Posted by Hermiones_Twin Aug 23rd 2006

Cool. I hope they win, but Do the Hippogriff is like, the best song ever.
