No Weasley is our King storyline in OOTP
Bad news for those who are looking forward to a good grudge match in the Order of the Phoenix film next summer! We've been informed that there is no storyline in the movie surrounding Ron's Quidditch hardships, nor has there been any filming on broomsticks done by Rupert. We're led to believe that this means there will be no Quidditch in the fifth film at all. We hope to learn more soon!

ahhh, that's just dissapointing!!! I hate finding out what they cut out because I love every part of the book and I can't stand things being left out.....but this time it's even worse because Quidditch is one of the few things Harry is still able to enjoy in OoTP (until Umbridge throws him off the team ofcourse) and getting rid of that is just unfair to poor Harry
Outrageous! They should have cut out the ministry scene to include Ron on a broomstick since Ron/Rupert is sooooo hot! Then I could squee like a fangirl and annoy everyone else in the theater at that part. And who cares about the whole Voldemort thing? Or they should just put every single detail of the book into the movie and make it 7 or so hours long! Sure it would take millions more to film and only die-hard fans would go to see it and they would loose so much money, but I would get to see every single subplot of the book! And you know what, they really should consult ME on casting and wardrobe, because I don't like every person they cast or think they are all hot. Oh, and EMMA WATSON SUCKS (I'm just saying that because I'm jealous or her and wish I got the part). ... ... ... Yeah... Get over it, people. There is ALWAYS going to be something to complain about when books are made into movies. If you don't like the movies don't see them and sit at home reading all the books. At least the movies have the same basic stories, unlike some book-to-movies I've seen.

That sucks big time! Ok, so the Quidditch isn't too important but in OotP it leads into other stuff too - like the Ron/Hermione kiss. Stupid Waner Bros.

I was looking forward to seeing Rupert in a Quidditch uniform. Darn it. I say at the midnight showing all true HP fans sing the Gryffindor version of "Weasley is Our King" at the end of the movie! LOL
they cannot do this to the fifth movie!! one of the main parts of the book is about ron and his problems! they can't just leave that out!! and if there isn't any quidditch, well that's just absurd!!!!!!

What will they do then? I cannot imagine that Jo Rowling will be pleased with this. This cannot be happening....

while it's a great part of the book, it takes away, way to much from the flow of the rest of the, much more important part of the story... and don't forget that the hardest part of writing the books for Jo are the Quidditch scenes, just for that same reason, it slows the story and takes away from furthering the plot. so I say not that big of a loss

no quidditch in OOTP? foolish. what about the suspension of harry and the weasley twins because of the fight? and the escape of the twins with their brooms with which they have no more right to use that is the consequences of the suspension after the quidditch match? a big part of the scenario is out of sense if they cut quidditch. no quidditch. what will be the next thing that we won't see? sirius? the battle in london?

UGH, that's CRAP! I HATE hollywood! I wish they would have made these movies as close to the books as possible without having to go all freaking hollywood! These books are not boring at ALL, and don't need to be "spiced" up to the hollywood standard to make it entertaining! If there is NO Ron playing quidditch, then they are leaving out a very big point in the story of Hermione liking Ron, because she helps Ron get on the team. And what about in HBP when Harry gives Ron the fake felix potion so he can think he does good in the quidditch game...ugh I wish directors would actually read the books so they can see how their cuts are affecting future storylines!
