Emma talks People Tree, wrapping up Deathly Hallows, more in two new interviews
Emma talks People Tree, wrapping up Deathly Hallows, more in two new interviews The Daily Mail and Express newspapers have both published new interviews with actress Emma Watson over the past 24 hours.

In the former interview, Emma discusses her plans for fashion design in the future:

Q: You’ve done acting, modelling, and now you’re designing. Is this the future for Emma Watson?

A: Oh, I don’t have any plans to be a designer. I’m doing this range because I really care about fair-trade and ethical fashion. I’m so pleased that I got involved, but I don’t want to take all the credit for being the designer because I haven’t trained as a designer or even gone to art college – in fact, I had no idea about the amount of work involved at the outset!

While speaking with Express, Emma touches on wrapping up Deathly Hallows filming in a few months and acting in the future:

Potter producers have scheduled filming to allow her to attend college and film her remaining scenes during her holidays. The last day of filming Harry Potter draws closer, however.

“I will be uncontrollable,” she says, picturing that final day on set. “It’s been half of our lives. It’s made us, it’s formed us. It’s such a big part of my life so it will be really sad.”

Emma is still debating whether to continue with acting long term. “I just want to be sure it’s what I want. I was so young and I don’t think I really knew the greatness of what I was signing on for. I really want to study. I would love to try theatre. I need to try stuff out. But I say all this now, I’m sure I’ll still be here in 10 years, making Harry Potter 30.”

I love emma, she is so level headed, and truly down to earth

She is very level-headed. Definatley not full of herself. I love the fact that she didn't do the clothing range for celebrity endorsement, but because she believes fair trade is important and bc. she knows fashion could be used to alliveate poverty.

Love Emma! I love the new People tree line. It's so cute and all the items are very versatile. You can wear them to class or dress them up and wear them out at night. Emma is so intelligent and very talented, so I really hope she continues to act, whether it be theater, film, tv, or all of it. It's all up to her and she's only 19 years old, so it's not like she's expected to know what she wants to do for the rest of her life. I'm 22 and I still really don't know.

I will be uncontrollable when I get home from Deathly Hallows part 2 :(

I read that second article, which said that Dan had warned her not to live with an unknown room-mate. Sounds so much like a big brother advice, don't you think? Dan & Rupert are more like her big brothers, and are extremely protective of her. When you have known one another for 10 years or so, it completely changes the dynamics of your relationship. People Tree line (completely ethical), Brown university - sounds so much like Hermione!!

As a fashion and design student it is so refreshing to hear someone with such celebirty status as Emma actually admitting that although she's involved with the design process, she's not actually the designer. It's at times frustrating hearing about big named celebrities cashing in on the fashion world when they haven't gone the hard yards at fashion college for years. Emma Watson is so grounded and lovely, we really need more of her in the world and I really admire what she is doing for ethical fashion, because it's something I strongly believe in too. GO EMMA!
