More footage online from Deathly Hallows' Swinley Forest sets
More footage online from Deathly Hallows' Swinley Forest sets As we reported several weeks ago, crews for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows have been filming scenes in Swinley Forest.

London Taxi Tours, well known for finding Potter sets, has uploaded another video from the area. The video shows more wigwam-like huts built for filming surrounded by very large trees. We also see tourists checking out the area.

I have an idea for what the wigwams might be. It's a little far-fetched, and it's not in the books, but maybe it's a Muggleborn camp. I mean, lots of them went into hiding, so why couldn't they band together in a large gang, trying to avoid Snatchers and Death Eaters? I'm probably wrong, but it's a theory.

My comment just posted twice....

Am I the only one that thinks this is a little bit creepy...?

Posted by POTTER2006 Feb 7th 2010

Looks like little areas to help disguise camera crew/ equipment etc

Posted by ver Feb 7th 2010

Filthy Little Mudblood, I was thinking the same thing! Or...and this is also far fetched...they could be stacks of wood to light on fire in the scene where Harry goes to meet Voldemort in the forest. Because they don't really look like dwellings to me.

I just saw the tralier type commercial for the theme park, wish it was longer, but w/e. Anything Potter related is worth my time!!! :)

I think the tents are for some muggleborns or other wizards on the run. Or maybe the snatchers' base camp or something. Maybe even some muggles or some squibs. The trio's tent doesn't look like those. Either way, I'm intrigued.

My thoughts exactly, xxStephanie

GAH! Is it just me, or is this all wrong! In the trailer, Harry is running through the forest with spells flying aorund him, And in this clip the guy says that hes running from death eaters. Like, since when did he run through a forest from death eaters, man?! I wish they'd stick to the book. :/ BTW, I like your theories for the wigwams. ^^ Anyone know what the bright green things in the large one might be? (Probably leaves, to be honest.. but looks very bright.)

If it is a Muggleborn camp, maybe the trio apparates right into it to find it all destroyed and dead bodies or what ever..?

Posted by phoenixmaster Feb 8th 2010

IcanhazPotturpls .. you SHOULD'VE known from the get-go that there will be a Snatcher Chase scene involving Fenrir Greyback, Scabior, the trio and etc.. the Death Eaters DON'T chase the trio, it's the Snatchers, and Greyback isn't really considered a legit Death Eater. It's not a changed or "NEW" scene, it's just an enhanced scene from when they get caught and sent to Malfoy manor

I agree with phoenixmaster.

Posted by phoenixmaster Feb 8th 2010

thanks pantera2012 .. I noticed that they ALWAYS Enhance scenes in the HP movies to heighten the action, and/or make it cooler. like back in the 2nd movie COS, when Ron and Harry are flying the car, Harry Falls out and almost DIES by the train, but Ron pulls him back up... that wasn't in the book at all. I personally thought that was a stupid scene, but then again, that whole movie was stupid and my least favorite, lol. The Whomping willow scene in POA between Harry and Hermione was also Exaggerated.. in the book, Crookshanks just pressed a knot and allw as well.. that wouldn't've been much fun to watch on the silver screen. In GOF, The WHOLE Dragon chase in the 1st task was Enhanced (you can say changed, but the concept was still the same, harry had to get the golden egg from the dragon). In OOTP, The Order flew through London when of course they flew in the clouds in the book. and in HBP, they showed the whole Attack on London, when that was only mentioned in the books. So I hope that clears it up for some of you about the the difference between Made up scenes, and enhanced scenes.

Posted by phoenixmaster Feb 8th 2010

sorry, I meant EXTENDED scenes, not Enhanced scenes lol. All movies do that anyway...

WeasleyTwin, your theory about the muggleborn camp and the dead bodies and everything was a really good guess, because if I remember correctly, I thought earlier on, there was some kind of mention of the trio finding a destroyed camp when they accidently apparated there. They look sad or walk around or something, then they leave again. I'm 99% positive I heard something of that sort. I first got the impression that that would be the place where the trio are spying on Griphook, Dean, and Ted. The wigwams would be where they were hiding out? I think someone mentioned this theory last time this kind of footage showed up, but I'm not sure. Either way, that was gonna be my orignal guess. I love all the guessing from everyone, it makes for good comments! :)

I don't know why, but I have a feeling this will be the scene in the forest before the Battle of Hogwarts. I can picture it; it would make sense that the Death Eaters camped out in the Forbidden Forest to learn about Hogwarts and gain further advantage in the battle, which is why I think the tents are there; it's their sleeping quarters. You all have very interesting and great theories; this is mine. I guess we'll have to wait for the trailer, or for the film.

kapuffy26: Good point.

Posted by IcanhazPotturpls Feb 9th 2010

Oh I see. Technically, in the book theres no chase. They just come out of the tent with their hands up (metaphorically), disguised. But I see why the film director would put a chase in, that'll make it interesting. My bad. :P
