New clip from Dan's appearance on 'Extras'
Ricky Gervais, the creator and director of "Extras," was interviewed tonight on UK late-night talk show Jonathan Ross. During the interview, several clips from the new series of "Extras" were shown with one featuring Daniel Radcliffe. Thanks to Mandy, we have a video of what was aired below. I have to admit, while slightly surprised, Dan plays a perfect obnoxious perv. I laughed hardest when the condom went sailing across the room. "Hope it's big enough . . ." One of those lines you shouldn't laugh at but do anyway. I love British humor.
that was really dirty, even my guy friends don't do stunts like that. i really need to meet those brits. it's so wierd to see harry potter doing the "dirty-finger" trick, plus he's getting naked for a play. totally wierd.

He was a great sport about it :) He looked ridiculous, his character is ridiculous and embarassing... And it really is making fun of himself because that COULD be the behavior of someone like him. The script was just great!

Gosh....that was so unexpected....it felt uncomfortable at first to watch the video as well,thats not the type of character he has ever played...it was different but funny..and that scouts uniform was awful...but the potter trademark,the specs remain...cool! very different....

quidditchplayer, that's what I said. They take the person and show them acting in the most unexpected way. It's funny, not just because it's the opposite of the image we have of Dan, but because in a way, it shows us how he could behave if he had a different approach to his success. In a way, that's an Alternative-Universe-Dan.
If you've seen Extras before you'll know that the guest stars on it play themselves but with some kind of crazy twist, like last year Kate Winslet tries to get Maggie to talk dirty to her boyfriend over the phone, and Patrick Stewart was writing a script where every five minutes he was undressing women! It's all meant to be taken very lightly. If you see the whole episode you'll realise that.

Hillarious! I'm glad they got him doing that kind of humour. It shows us he's not going to live his life in the shadow of Harry Potter. I was semi-worried about that, after all it is a very big shadow. :)
I love how the only British comedy American's seem to know is Monty Python so they're all like, "Ah, yes, cool. I'd love to see him in Monty Python" Even though there hasn't been a new Monty Python sketch since the 70's. And of course the whole episode will be online once it is shown, surely you've been around long enough to know that EVERY Harry Potter related video gets put online!

oh my god! WOW !! great acting, dan has really improved a lot! It's great seeing him outside the Harry-world. He will have to pratice some crying scences though... we will need some very good ones for HP & HBP!!

And believe me, it ain't just the British that sometimes indulge in that kind of humour. But you could have avoided watching it if you'd read Mugglenet's message PROPERLY prior to watching the clip.
