I also agree with Aslan. I really thought that Dan had more self-respect than that!! SOME British humor is wonderful (like some of Monty Python!!), but that clip just ruined all the respect that I had for Dan!! People have no decency anymore!!

I don't see why some people have such a problem with this, i found it freakin hilarious. The sketch is meant to be an exaggerated version of what he could be, like many people on here have said. And as for it apparently bein soooo shocking that he's doing adult humour, well, what do you expect? he's not a little boy anymore he's practically an adult himself! I say 'good for you, dan'. You've taken a risk and done something different, and you've proved you can do comedy really well. =]

Dan is so hilarious!!! The first time I saw it, I just sat there, mouth open, and starring. When it ended I just giggled like an idiot. I mean who would imagine Dan doing adult humor after seeing him in only Harry Potter movies, but he's great at it. He looked so comfortable doing that. He's just an all around great actor. And he's hot. You can't forget about that. I'd love to be in that lady's position.

I would actually like to commend Mugglenet for posting this. They are the only site to do so. Even Dan's sites are bowing to the wishes of "Dan and his representatives" in not posting it. Why the hypocrisy? If they feel this is inappropriate then maybe Dan should choose not to do controversial roles like this and Equus while he is still playing Harry. They know how young many of Dan's fans are. He and his reps and the studio should be proud of his choices or choose differently at this time. There is no room for hypocrisy.

It's not only MN that's posting this clip. And why shouldn't they? Dan is closely associated with Harry Potter and this shift of image is a big concern for HP fans as well. I commend this site for posting the link. It's helping the fans be acquainted with the idea that little, innocent Harry is growing up and that Dan is not always harry Potter. The Dan sites have been specifically requested not to post the clip and they are just following orders. Dan doesn't want to alienate his very young fans after all. They probably couldn't appreciate that kind of humor, much less understand it. Although, if you come to think about it, it was not really that obscene or rude. It's just an exaggerated version of a know it all teenager who wants to be considered an adult.
