New clip from Dan's appearance on 'Extras'
Ricky Gervais, the creator and director of "Extras," was interviewed tonight on UK late-night talk show Jonathan Ross. During the interview, several clips from the new series of "Extras" were shown with one featuring Daniel Radcliffe. Thanks to Mandy, we have a video of what was aired below. However, the content of the video is in no way child-oriented and we therefore advise you to view with caution. Click here to see it.

Julie Walters also made an appearance on the show where she spoke a little about Driving Lessons and the trio, saying that she found it surprising that they were still so normal and down to earth. Thanks to everyone who emailed!

WOW 301st Comment! I think Dan acted very well and cannot wait for the Daniel Awesomehill fan videos that will be made with this. Also if you play it slow he sounds like a sleexy Drunk. Brilliant. ---- I thought Dan was alreadt getting reconised too much as Elijha Wood. So why would he want to reinforce this image by pretending to put on 'The Ring'? ------

Posted by mugglegurl Sep 9th 2006

HAHAHAHAHA OMG OMG!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Dan Dan Dan...

Posted by genius_d623 Sep 9th 2006

I guess it was funny. I didn't think the humor was very original.

Posted by moonyrocks Sep 9th 2006

wow that was dan's best performance although i still see him as a kid still even tho hes technically an adult. i really hope dan gets into comedy.

Posted by teabag87 Sep 10th 2006

Wow! This just proves that Dan is a fantastic, and very talented actor! Oh yeah... how can anyone say that he was pretending to put on "The Ring"?? OMG! Surely if you consider yourself old enough to watch this video clip, than you should understand what he was doing...

Posted by HPFANTimothy Sep 10th 2006

However, I do not see how that skit reminded and by the looks of it.. still reminds people of Monty Python! I mean, as Rove says on every Tuesday night (only people in AUS and NZ know what I'm talking about) at 9:45 P.M..... What the?

Posted by Kiwi_Chick Sep 10th 2006

Hey HPFANTimothy, I remeber you from the comments of the release date of OOP for Australia! Anyway, with the ring comment, just trying to be funny. --------- I love rove! Did you see a couple of weeks ago with the clip episode and they played the interview with Dan? Go the Ladies!

Posted by Lillibet Sep 10th 2006

That was fairly funny, but I did find it a bit too crude for my taste.

Posted by ilovechocolate Sep 10th 2006

i love rove too! That interview was fkn hilarious!..but that was ages ago!

Posted by HPFANTimothy Sep 10th 2006

Yeah! I did! And when it was like, Rove was saying that Daniel Radcliffe would be interviewed by him next Tuesday to talk about Goblet of Fire, I was like, omg I have to watch Rove next week beacause Dan is going to be on the show. Wasn't a problem for me because I watch Rove every week. Anyway, that interview with Dan happened ages ago! It was like, before Goblet of Fire hit cinemas here in Australia. And Mugglenet had no idea that Dan was being interviewed on Rove! And I was like thinking, 'Hmmm, should I email the staff at Mugglenet awaring them that dan was going to be interviewed on Rove? Nah, won't worry them!' Anyway, it was such a cool interview! And then the next week, Emma, Dan, Rupert and Robert Pattison and stuff were interviewd on Sunrise, which of course Mugglenet heard about. And to think, all that stuff happened in Melbourne, where I live. I mean, if I had known that Dan was going to be interviewd I'd have forced my mum to take me to the show! lol. So, are you from New Zealand Kiwi_Chick? Because of course you guys get the show too don't you? Btw, what's your favourite part of Rove? Apart from the interviews of course. My favouite skit is 'What the...?' Like I mentioned up there ^_^ Oh, and the death of Steve Irwin was BIG news on Rove, because he interviewed Steve like 3 months ago or something.

Posted by Kiwi_Chick Sep 10th 2006

I was reading what you wrote and I was going to say 'What the...' is my favorite segment too! I also love the beggining, the first Joke and the News with Pete. I have only been watching Rove for about 6 months. We get Rove on Firday nights here in NZ, a day later than you. I live in Browns Bay, on the North Shore, Auckland Region, NZ. It rocks. I was soo sad when Steve Irwen died and was the first person to post in in the comments on Leakynews.com, so I gave them the news first. I was sooo sad when I heard, at first when my sisters friend told me I thought she was playing a crule joke, so I had to cheak on the internet and there it was, 'Steve Irwin Dies' - I found out 3 hours after it happened. I remeber I used to watch 'The Crocodile Hunter' on TV every Satuday afternoon and He was one of the main reasons for my childhood dream of being a Zoo Keeper. I watched a tribute Marathon to him on Animal Planet this afternoon (I was ment to be studing for my mock exams that are tommorow... whoops) and I remeber watching almost all of the scenes before when I was little. Oh and this clip of Dan is great!

Posted by blastedgoose Sep 10th 2006

omg im shocked he even sed the word @ss! then he did the hand thing, then he pulld out the c*nd*m! hahahahaha that was GOOD, dan should really think about doing comedies...how awesome would it be if he hosted SNL? anyway, i think his acting really improved, he was quite lousy in PoA but i saw an improvement by GoF.

Posted by jasmine Sep 10th 2006

I've heard that the second season of Extras will have a DVD version so those who can't watch this show will have another chance to see it. Dan was just too funny in this episode. The humor many not be very original but what's new there is the person playing it. Our goody two shoes Danny boy as an obnoxious 'stud' is just hilarious.

Posted by hpathbp Sep 10th 2006

OMG!!!!!!! How cool is That video. Dan has shown how much he has matured!!! How brave is he to do that stuff on tv. The jokes and the meaningful looks were excellant!!!! My mouth is still open. I never expected him to do something like that!!!!!!! Gd On ya Dan! Can't wait to see the show.

Posted by HPFANTimothy Sep 10th 2006

I was just on the Swedish habbo and there's a habbo that says her cousin lives in Oxford and is Emma Watson's best friend. That's pretty cool if it is true! By the way, habbo is a a hotel computer game (Habbo hotel) and if you want to go onto habbo, it's international. Go to www.habbo.co.uk for England, www.habbo.com.au for Australia (my habbo hotel) or www.habbo.com for USA. In your spare time can you please go to the Australian habbo then create a habbo. Then search Timothyds in the room thingie and go to my room. lol

blastedgoose, why are you censoring the word "condom"? It's not an offensive word. And it was really funny I must say! I hate Dan Radcliffe to be honest, he annoys me for some reason and I don't think he's a good actor, but that was really funny! Hehehe. And kids watching this that don't get it...come on? Isn't it obvious!

Posted by phoenixlament Sep 10th 2006

HAHA that was funny, but it's kinda weird to see dan in that kinda show but w/e. still funny, but i seriously doubt i would be able to watch that.... awww =(

Posted by Obsessionful Sep 10th 2006

ahahahahahahahahaha I was on my bed when I watched this and my mom came in because I fell off because I was laughing so hard! This is effing hilarious!

Posted by Aggresive_duck Sep 10th 2006

That made me think Dan is a good actor for the first time ever... He's great at comedy and he sucks at drama, sorry.

Posted by TinaL Sep 10th 2006

I love it, I cannot get tired of saying it, he is not only great doing drama but also great doing comedy....GOOD JOB DAN!

Posted by pottergurl_numerouno Sep 10th 2006

can ny one send me the transcript of the dialouge....my audio's not working.......nyway.......from what i saw dan's done a lot of growing up!

Posted by GoGoGryffindor Sep 10th 2006

holy crapsicle that was funny

Posted by micky_gee Sep 10th 2006

Sorry, not impressed. I'm not sure why people are saying that this demonstrates that Dan is becoming more "adult" or "mature;" in my opinion, the humour is very adolescent and crude. I know that there's such a thing as adult humour (I'm 21), but I don't think that this is it; I think it's just tasteless. Ah, well, to each their own! :)

Posted by Ilovedanielradcliffe Sep 10th 2006

Transcript, I think its all right. Dan sits down at the table and says: "Hey gang what we doing?" Maggie says "Been eating" Dan sarcastically says "Yeah..yeah.. sweet.. look. Thanks for covering my ass earlier, the offer.. still stands. Maggie says "What offer?" Dan says " You know (Dan gets a smug smirky face here) [ makes a lude hand gesture, which I wont describe since someone has already done so above if you dont know what it means] Maggie ignores and says " Im just goona go get a drink does anyone want anything?" Ricky says " I'll have a cup of tea" Dan then says "Get me a bourbon would you babe?" Maggie says " Well I think its just mostly teas and coffees and.." Dan says "Oh yeah then, get me a cup of joe would ya, and make it strong would ya, I dont want any of that weak sh*t.. oh.. [dan looks and covers his mouth knowing he shouldnt have cursed] Maggie gets up and leaves table to get drinks. Dan then turns to Ricky and says "Look, when she comes back, right, make some excuse and leave us alone will you?" Ricky says " What you got planned?" Dan then whips a condom out, unravled, and holds it in the air. Ricky says "You unravled it.." Dan says "Ready for action." *he then stretches out condom like an elastic band about to be launched* " I just hope its big enough" and it flings across the table probably onto someones head who knows :)

Posted by xoxDreamerGirlxox Sep 10th 2006

Haha, I loved it so much, I saved it onto my Windows Media playlist :P. Now I can watch it all the time, yay!

Posted by Jamandell_d69 Sep 10th 2006

Hmm, I was gonna show it to my bro but now it ain't working. I hope it gets on Youtube soon if not already.

Posted by oopsadaisy Sep 10th 2006

I know I'm nearly the 330th to comment so this will probably not be read. I am British and love the British sense of humour. The last part of that sketch with the condom flying was funny, however the first part I found just plain crude. I've read very few comments that agree with my opinion, but I hope this doesn't ruin Dan's reputation.

Posted by roadtripkaraoke Sep 10th 2006

The more I see Dan Radcliff doing non HP things, the more I LOVE him.

Posted by elven9 Sep 10th 2006

it was quite funny. although i don't know why everyone is raving over how 'great british humor is'. it was funny, but not that funny. i particularly think american humor is funnier. but that's me.

Posted by elven9 Sep 10th 2006

i completely agree with genius_d623. it's not original at all.

Posted by TinaL Sep 10th 2006

I cannot believe almost all the comment are positive, WOW I am impress with the Mugglenet fans

Posted by Kiwi_Chick Sep 10th 2006

No sorry, I am not really that into Habbo and can think of a host of other things I would rather be doing. How's life in Australia. I am kinda worried for your national heros, Bad things always happens in threes. I said this when tragedy struck last mond... omg, This is the exact time I found out last week...

Posted by Justine Sep 11th 2006

LMFAO! But to be honest, I don't think his acting is that great.

Posted by jasmine Sep 11th 2006

I can't believe all the comments are positive too. Even those who are against the crude adult humor still think the clip is funny. It's a lot to do with Dan I guess. We just know he's playing a role but he's so natural in doing it. Maybe we can predict more comic roles for Dan in the future?

Posted by susanova Sep 11th 2006

I laughed... I cried... I peed... you could never get that one on to prime-time in the US. Ricky Gervais is brilliant, and he has made good use of young Daniel. of course, I can call him young since I'm old enough to be his mum. :O very, very funny...

Posted by Harrysgirl21 Sep 11th 2006

OMG! That was freakin' hilarious! Dan really has a knack for comedy. I hope somone can get the full episode on here seeing as I live in the States and won't be able to watch it. Loved "the offer" part. When Dan did that little hand thing I about fell out of my chair! Our little Dan has grown up!

Posted by UniqueLittleFishy Sep 11th 2006

Lol! The ending was soo funny! I won't be showing my little sister this video. *pauses* She loved the "have you brushed your teeth?" video clip...but...like I'd ever show this one to her. *shakes head* very funny though! loved it. *giggles* Although...it was weird seeing---or should I say listening---to Dan saying those couple of swear words...I WANNA SHOW MY FRIEND!!! lol it's sooo funny!

Posted by UniqueLittleFishy Sep 11th 2006

I'm over here laughing while I'm reading everyone's comments. I think I have to sneeze...no wait...never mind. ahhhh that was funny. but i'm so glad dan isn't like that 4 real! ;)

Posted by Dancer_1021 Sep 11th 2006

ok. lol. i am afraid to watch this video.

Posted by MrsPattinson Sep 11th 2006

Oh my goodness!!! I loooooove Extras! It needs to come back to HBO... seriously. This epsiode is bound to be a classic!

Posted by halexandra Sep 11th 2006

Oh God, Dan is brilliant in humour. I must say that I enjoy watching him more in this than in the HP movies! I love that he's not afraid to do this kind of humour! It's fantastic!

Posted by arl0617 Sep 11th 2006

he is really funnie and talented good job dan you made my day by making me laugh because i havent last really hard all day

Posted by SirKerrek Sep 11th 2006

LMAO!! That was genuinely hilarious, it reminded me a little of Monty Python, which also rox.

Posted by Linny Sep 12th 2006

lmao. If I'm going to watch this, I'm going to have to make sure my parents aren't in the room... lol wish me luck

Posted by carrot_top Sep 12th 2006

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah that was pretty funny...

Posted by Wassan Sep 12th 2006

I can't believe I still find him HOT in that "outfit" and playing that "role" !!!!! That's not right is it?

Posted by Carol61 Sep 12th 2006

Honestly, I have mixed emotions on this one. I love Dan to pieces, no matter what he does. I thought the first clip (the "something to remember me by" kiss) was adorable, but this latest one was a bit vulgar and actually did make him seem more childish than mature. Was Extras ever on HBO in the US? Is it likely to be when this episode airs? I still want to see the episode - just because it's Dan doing it - but what I've seen so far doesn't impress me as much about his personal character as his decision to do Equus or My Boy Jack (which by the way, I'm hoping we will get to see in America...so if you're an American Dan fan, please email dutyoffice@itv. com and beg them to either release it to US theaters or to make it available on DVD for sale in the US).

Posted by Carol61 Sep 12th 2006

I was wondering about one other thing too ... the Scout uniform. It looks very much like a Boy Scouts of America uniform as best I can see from the clip on my computer, but I'm assuming there are British Boy Scouts and perhaps their uniform is similiar. Given the subject matter of the clip, why aren't the Scout organizations up in arms about his use of the uniform?

Posted by mad_eye_moody Sep 13th 2006

My God, I had to clamp my mouth shut at college whilst watching this, I just can't see Daniel doing that normally as he seems inncoent but we obviously now know he can be an absolute devil in disguise. Shame he still shown more shock when the thing flew elsewhere than Rick did! (so he may still be innocent)
