Dan Radcliffe: 'very good kisser'
A new report from the fifth Potter movie set has just surfaced online, and although it isn't very detailed, it does contain some interesting points of information. Here is yet another positive remark on this film's director:
Director David Yates is such a perfectionist that he did so many takes of one scene involving Harry and his "Dumbledore's Army." By the day's end, we could recite all the lines in this scene - and in the voices of the cast.
In addition, the article includes some quotes from Katie Leung: "I feel that I'm very lucky to be chosen out of so many girls." She went on to discuss the kiss with Dan. "Yes, Daniel is a very good kisser. Yeah, I really enjoyed it."

very cool! can't wait for this movie...more and more info!
THE KISS! Can't wait to see that!!!
Oh La La!!! hope this film has a different tone and style to it just like the previous two! looking forward to it
awesome news post! haha i'm actually sitting right next to mischiefmanaged128 ^ in research class...but this is obviously more important!
Oh GREAT...I hope we will join Yates' directing like those who see him at work now!
WOOHOO!!! Go Daniel . . . where can I get some of that action??!! No I really can't wait for this movie!!! *squeals with laughter*
yay! I cant wait to see the kiss! And the rest of the movie, of course ;).
ahh, awesome :D i want to see the kiss! even though cho is almost my least favorite character. But Katie Leung is really cool and her accent is just awesome
Your not suppose to kiss and tell. Anyways, I agree with HarryandtheDA, where can I get some of that action?!?! Hi5s!!!
omg i cant wait to see this film!
Ohhhh.....OH god WHY!!!!!???!!?!?! Daniel will be MINE!!!
We got to lose Quiddich and Weasley is our King, but we still have this part?! It's not like they're not going to break up - they didn't even have that many 'moments' in the books! *groan* Personally, since Marietta's already been cut (which REALLY takes out some of the drama of the whole thing anyway), I would have rather have seen this gone, if I had to make the agonizing choice. I hope it doesn't get all drawn-out or anything - I can see it now: 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the Hogwarts soap-opera edition'
Awww. Wait, Marietta has been cut?
Marietta been cut out??!!! And all this on top of quidditch too!! Man, when Hollywood learn you guys!!
*CRACK* [apparates] Yes owned, Marietta has been cut. How Umbridge finds out about the secret DA meetings will be told by someone else, in addition, Dobby has been cut so how they FIND the Room of Requirement will be told by someone else too. AloysiusWeasly, I agree with you, the Quidditch scene of Weasley is our King is quite significant, it raises self-esteem issues with Ron, and his growing up "finding himself" if you will that follows into HBP with Lavendar Brown...sigh.........
It´s not that important that Marrietta had been cut. It´s actually more effective if Cho is the one who betrayed them ...
This movie is being torn apart before our very eyes!! I can't take it!! *screams and hits the floor*
That certainly would cause Harry and Cho to 'break-up' if Cho is the one responsible for betraying them....However, that changes the whole demeanor of Harry and Cho's relationship...it goes so far off the course of how the two split, it would introduce too many other feelings that Jo certainly did not write in herself. It changes how people would perceive Cho from the book. I don't see that happening. I think the person who will tell Umbridge about the DA will be Malfoy, and how they find the RoR is either from Fred and George, or Harry will happen upon it himself....
cool. the director really seems to know what he's doing.. the kiss is sceane is gonna be a m a z i n g. Cannot Wait.
Sorry about my outburst. I can totally see where you're coming from Hannah_at_Hogwarts. Just wondering, if they had to do this scene over and over, how many times do you think that Dan and Katie actually kissed??
jeez, quiddich WAS A DRAG TO SHOOT (tries to calm down) and non book readers (=HUGE majority of people who see the movie) couldn't understand a thing about it,so the movie makers cut it, and dobby has a like a really small role,it's nothing the weasley twins can't realisticly know about,as for marietta,we don't know how they're going to do it without her,if you want more info check the "OoTP in filming process"thread in the CoS forums
Oooh Lala!! can't wait 2 see the kiss scene!!! wish i could find out 4 myself whether dan's a good kisser or not!! jokin! wouldnt mind it though...marietta n dobbly have been cut????? they hav small but vital parts in the book!!! jus wont be the same in the movie!!!!! i mean...what next???
hmm, i sincerely hope this movie isn't ruined like POA... seems like they are cutting out a lot of plot info, and I'm really dissapointed about no Quidditch... As for the kiss, I don't really care I mean Katie isn't all that attractive, although her accent is hot. I wouldnt mind sampling Emma, but thats a whole different story... ~Hogwarts Representative.
HarryandtheDA: I've read that the actual kissing scene was done quite a number of times...but to me, that scene doesn't matter to me. If you couldn't tell by my syntax, I am not a teenager, or a pre-teen - rather I am very close in age to that of Jo's. I see Harry and the rest as my children, if you will. Only someone my age, and who has children would understand that comment. So you see, for me to appear to be giddy regarding this scene would be, I don't know...not appealing. If you understand what I mean. :)
I hope the Kiss Scenen is just like I imagined. Can't wait for the movie
It seems like this director is the perfectionist we've been waiting for; I really think five will be a big movie, bigger than any premier in Harry Potter.
cant they just release the trailer now? im gettin way to excited with all this news comming out. im gettin impatient. oh well what can i do? i know by harry potter stuff on ebay.
This movie is gonna be great. Can't wait to see it in July! And I love Katie!!
I'm looking forward to the kiss - even though I have 3 sons about Harry's age. I think it's an important moment in a boy's life (especially Harry's). Good for Dan that he's a good kisser - but I'm not sure Harry is supposed to be!
i don't mind if they cut things... its not the book you know. as long as it flows and entertains me i dont care much for bits like Dobby, Marietta and Quidditch. *i usually falls asleep when harry gets on a broomstick* - in the movies not the books (though that too is tedious to read about, and apparantly tedious for jo to write too). Btw PoA quidditch was bearable cuz it was short and more interesting visually. the GoF dragon chase?? not so much -_-
"Yes, Daniel is a very good kisser." ... I bet he is! It's good that the director is such a perfectionist. I like that! OoTP better be good.
i don't get why girls hate Katie Leung for kissing Dan. She's nice i guess, and that's a great scene, but im looking forward for the whole movie, not just that part. it was a good report, a little bit lazy cause it didn't say much. anyway, we're less days away from the stupid trailer that i can't wait.
OMG! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FILM!!! I'm a little gelous, because I want to kiss Dan too1 Lol! :) Well.. i'll be expecting it soon ;-)
yay...hands off Katie!!! Ü
Oh my gosh! The kiss! LOL! Daniel's a good kisser! LOL! Hurray for Harry Potter! Can't wait for the movie!
Okay, here's my honest take on the "most interesting scene of the whole movie" - the kissing scene. The ONLY thing that I find about that scene that would be a 'coming of age' if you will, is the part when the trio is sitting in the common room following Harry and Cho's kiss. Jo describes it wonderfully, of Harry being discumbobulated (out of sorts for those who don't know what that word means) Harry not saying a word, except when asked how the kiss was...."Wet." THAT is the best part of the kissing scene. Hopefully that will not be cut from the movie. Sorry for my disposition, I know it isn't as jovial as it usually is...perhaps I should take a moment to bring myself back from this foul mood....*CRACK* [disapparates]
Hannah_at_Hogwarts - you always make me laugh (in a good way, not at you or anything...:) I don't have kids of my own or anything, but I feel your pain about everyone getting all excited about the actors...it killed me when the news about Equus came out....(Wow...I guess the kids really DO like Daniel Radcliff...;) I'm already highly suspect about the OotP movie - I suppose the cutting of Quiddich will just be another step in the direction of making Ron just a bumbling sidekick in the movies. >:(
HAH! too bad the kiss was only IMPLIED in the book. hmph.
cool..i guess.
Wow...Katie is so luckyyy. I can't wait for the movie!
i think i'd really enjoy a kiss with daniel to..haha just kidding
ow OW!!! lol...go daniel! woot woot!
daniel? good kisser?!! yeahhhhhhhhh lol
Quidditch was the most boring thing to watch. Eurgh, it was SO dull. And Dobby's just - ARGH Stop moaning everyone, they're not going to change it so live with it I can't wait to see the kiss and ohGodIwanttoseeitNOW
well...now i am upset...i thought that it would be funny to see dobby walking around with all of the hats that Hermy made!...and how can they take Quiditch out? what about when harry is in detention with Umbridge and he is trying to look out the window to see the game. how dare they.and as for the room of requirement, in the book he remembers that Dumbledore told him about it, so that might work to their advantage. And as for the theory of Cho being the one to betray the DA, i seriously doubt it...This is just extremely upsetting...and i always loved the quiditch seens. and too bad if the viewing fans dont understand what that is...either watch the movies from 1-4 or pick up the books and read! .... AloysiusWeasley, who is Equus? (confused?!)...Ü--not really so cheery bout this news
i second that hollie ^_^ aww why does katie have to be so adorable? i'll hate it when she has to act like a wet blanket.
hmm dan might b a gud kisser but im really interested 2 knw how rupert is(probably cause i like him more than dan...hehe)....nah but i like dan also very much n thts 1 reason y i feel like punching tht katie woman..honestly i find her 2 funny..luks like some1s squashed a POTATO on her face.....n 1 thing tht really suprised me 2day is da no. of middle aged women using mugglenet....cause there waz more demand 4 dan being a SON than a BOYFRIEND..lmao
Uh Dan is a very good kisser! Yes! I think Dan had a lot of experience while filming DB with Teresa Palmer, they do kiss a lot in that movie, but for some reason I knew he was a good kisser!
*CRACK* [apparates] Hollie: Each of us perceive the books in our own way - we each have our 'favorite scenes' from the book, while most of us appreciate and encompass certain passages of significance. From this lot, the attention is directed towards the idea of kissing Dan Radcliffe....To me, the significance of scenes far outweighs the possibility of kissing Dan Radcliffe. You see, to tell people to stop moaning about it, but then immediately stating that the kissing scene is more significant (which, for you, that is perfectly fine) is rather pompous and boorish....Sigh....I suppose it didn't work - me taking some time to get out of my grumpy mood....
Gah I wish I was Katie Leung...I hope that scene turns out well, along w/ the rest of the movie. To MuggleTowne: As for how they can get rid of Quidditch, it's actually much more possible in this movie than it is any of the others, considering that he gets his broom taken away. Looking out the window to see the game wasn't a major part of the book. I think the only real problem with the removal of Quidditch is the whole "Weasley is Our King" thing. I'm sure they'll find a way to work around it though. As for Marietta...THAT disgusts me. I don't understand how they could take out something that's such a major part of the plot. *sigh*
