Lorcan d'Eath? Sounds similar to a crazy assassin from Terry Pratchett's "Men at Arms" named Edward d'Eath, though he wasn't a vampire (they're all either kosher butchers in the Ankh-Morpork slaughterhouse area, newspaper photographers or stereotypical reclusive vampire nobles in the land of Uberwald). Interesting to note one can be part vampire...wonder if there are more vampires in the seventh book...
