GOF wins children's BAFTA
The fourth film won the Bafta Kids' vote for the favorite movie of the year. Rupert Grint and James and Oliver Phelps were in attendance at the ceremony this evening in London. GOF was ousted in the Best Feature film category by Wallace and Gromit.

Images from Rupert's appearance are available in our gallery, a video can be seen here (1 MB, wmv), and screencaps from that video here.

That is really awesome!

I love that film, but admittedly I've taken to liking it a little bit less over the past several months after observing how (spastic) emotional Hermione is, and Goblet is definitely not book-Hermione's weakest point (which would be HBP). I am very glad it won, because I still love the film. But my mum doesn't like it, which influenced me just a little. Of course ... it's definitely a beautiful film, Harry or not.

Awsome!! My friend talked to Ben on AIM and asked were MuggleCast is and he said "with Andrew" I really want MuggleCast too. I'll have to ge tup early (again) to listen to it.

Posted by katetate Nov 26th 2006

Does anyone else notice how Mugglenet post news about Rupert? I wonder if the WB feeds them how to do things. I'm happy Rupert attended and I'm glad GOF won although it certainly was not deserving since it wasn't a very good movie.

Posted by beccat_hermione Nov 26th 2006

Yeah, supposing that BEN or ANDREW actually reads these: I know you guys have lives, but it would be nice if Mugglecast was put up in a more timely fashion. Obviously everyone loves you guys. You must give in to the masses.

Posted by TreRadical Nov 26th 2006

yayy congrats to GOF. it was an easy win though, of course. :D are there any pictures of the phelps twins from the event?

Posted by Ronaldweasley Nov 27th 2006

Congrats GOF! You are the best movie on this planet!

Posted by rachel9isfine Nov 27th 2006

Good job GOF but I was rooting for POTC :D.

Good job GOF but I was rooting for POTC :D.

Posted by oldest3 Nov 27th 2006

Yah whatever, I don't think that GOF should have won though, it was so dark and sinister, I think that Narnia should have won especially if this is a childrens voting! I love GoF but it just didn't do the book justice if you ask me... sorry

Posted by pigwidgeon Nov 27th 2006

I'm glad Wallace and Gromit won. It was a good film, and it's great that the prize went to a less popular film. HP films always get all the attention, even though they're not actually that great.

Posted by GorgeousGinnyxoxoxox Nov 27th 2006

GO GOF!!!! Ya i agree with oldest3 that's weird that such a dark film would have won. But heck it's hp so even though the movie doesn't rank high on my list, i'm still sooo happy that it won!!!!! GO GOF!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Witchy_Woman Nov 27th 2006
