WHOA! i know im very very very very very very very very very late .... but i saw this a looooooong time ago,...din have time to comment but the first thing that struck me was ... how odd there is a very distinct difference between DEATHLY and DEADLY ... deathly means to resemble death ... while deadly means fatal hallow....saint w hich is the ONE CHARACTER in all the books ( a character we've met) ... who most resembles a saint? which is the ONE character who has a saintly demeanor and outlook? albus dumbledore. RESEMBLING DEATH, ALBUS DUMBLEDORE. NOT DEAD, ALBUS DUMBLEDORE! too much of a coincidence, dontcha think? but hallowS is in the plural...maybe...someone else, who was also saintly, we thought dead, is alive too???

I am really happy and really sad at the same time. I really did not think she was going to reveal something on Dec. 21 again. We finally know the last book is called. This is a wonderful early birthday and Christmas present for me. Well........ I have been contemplating if I should do this and I have finally decided that I will post here and a couple of other places asking if people would like to have discussions with me. I have been able to get a couple of my friends to read the books and they enjoy them but they don't like to have big discussions about them. So I have lived the past couple years reading editorials and essays and such. I do post comments about stuff but I want to do more than that. I know that there are people that know a lot more about HP than me but if want to have discussions about the books, movies, and everything else HP then please email me at sweetiepie12224@yahoo.com ( I just wanted to say that I don't care about your age or how new you are to HP). i'm sure this has been mention (somewhere in the last 1200 post) but does anyone remember the "two constanants and a vowel" comment that Jo said? this leads me to believe that the other two titles were two of these: "Death Hallow", "Death Hollow"(as in Godric's), "Dead Hallows", or "Dead Hollows"... since when she made the comment, it sounded as though the titles she was choosing from were similar

Someone over on COS pointed out that possible titles for book 6 were: Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Hallows and Harry Potter and the Hallows of Hogwarts. So, does that mean the Hogwarts founders? ghosts? somewhere sacred inside Hogwarts (hallowed ground and all that)? I AM SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! Oh and good point about the bombings, i seriously doubt 7/7/07 now.

okay i heard about this on thursday but was too busy screaming to comment about it... but now that i've thought about iti really like this title. it's not really like the others, and it sort of brings a sense of finalness to the series. i'm torn between wanting to read it and not wanting hp to end... at least we'll have some time to mentally prepare ourselves. i'm really hoping for the summer of 08... i just think this summer's too soon.

Does anyone else think book 7 may be released on the date of the summer solstice given the prophecy??? If that is indeed the case then the book should be released June 21, 2007...that would fufill the prophecy that "...at the solstice will come a new... and none will come after..." Meaning on the summer solstice the new book will be released and no more will be after this one...just something to think about. =)

I can't believe this is going to be the last HP title release :( no more guessing the name of the next book.

I think that the title is introducing a new place; for example, for CoS, we didn't know what the Chamber of Secrets was so we could only guess about it... I really don't think it's going to be that obvious.

The_Chosen_One: in ootp, when Harry is in the Department of Mysteries, and Malfoy is trying to get the prophecy from Harry. Then remember how some of the prophecies smashed to the floor? One of them stated, "at the solstice will come a new... and none will come after" in the rush of everything. :)

i just found out today as i away from home so didnt have a computer. Come home and i find out about it. i was so happy. its a great title. cannot wait for the book. it should be close as JK has given us the title

i wonder if jkr planned the whole solstice thing...if she didn't its a bit of a freaky coincidence but how could she have known that she would be able to give the title of the last book on a solstice when she was only on the 5th book

I heard it on the radio a few days ago. The announcer said that the title could be Harry Potter Gets His Head Cut Off, But Still Saves the Universe and he would still love it! I'm so excited!!!!!

Now that I read all the comments I am thinking that maybe we wont get the last book until December 2007. I wasn't here last time to know about it but most of you are talking about JKR releasing the title and not getting the book till 1 year later. And also most of you are quoting JKR's OOTP: "...at the solstice will come a new..." "...and none will come after...". Although they are two separate prophecies we all think JKR gave us a clue hidden in it, I don't think they are about the title but about the final book. I Googled it and the Winter Solstice turns out to be on December 22nd 2007, by a few comments that I read JKR always releases her books on a Saturday and December 22nd 2007 falls on a Saturday. Okay I know some (maybe most of you) might not agree with me but that is my theory. I mean think about it....There is no way that they will release the book and the movie together or even a few weeks from each other, I don't think October 31st is on her mind seeing that it's a School day, and it will be our last Christmas gift from JKR. I do hope I am wrong and JKR IS planning a July 2007 release ^_^

Hmm, just read that the Dutch worktitle of HP7 is "Harry Potter en het Fatale Heiligdom" (and not "Harry Potter en de Dodelijke Heiligen", the literal translation). Which in English could mean "Harry Potter and the Deadly Shrine/Sanctuary/Saints.. Very interesting indeed!

I might be wildly optimistic with this, but my estimated delivery date for book 7 is late Feb 2007, is this not realistic, is it just amazon breaking my heart??? Now it could be that amazon can only state a delivery date of up to 2 months later. Unfortunately I am going with this second idea, but I thought i would just see what everyone else had to say!
