it surprises me ever and ever again that between "Oh he is so hot"comments there are so many who are upset about the fact that Radcliffe is shown as he will act in the play, nl naked. and most of the upsetness is about he being SOOOO young or TOOO young to do so. That's a bit silly because if there is a curve in exhibitionism in people, that curve likely to be much higher at 18 then at 80, the confidence to show it all on stage or before a camera is mosttime pretty high among young actors. I think it neede far more courage for for instance a Marlon Brando to go full Monty in Last Tango in Paris, when his physique was really downhill then for a Brooke Shield in Blue Lagoon. But this are promo pictures; the horse will not be on stage, so it is not a snapshot of what is in the play, and that bugs me a bit because what is shown is not Radcliffe in Equus, but Harry Potter in a birthday suite. Radcliffe has taken this role---- one you do when young, nobody played Alan Strang being already 35 or so---- to become independant of the Harry Potter image, but the producers thought it wise to dwell on that image for promoting a play that needs no promotion because its quality alone already.

Haha, sophiebelle don't go giving her any ideas! Anyway, I'm glad that Dan is trying new roles. I'd hate it if he stopped filming after the HP movies. He may not be the best actor out there, but this is definately going to be a learning experience for him. I'm all for him expanding his horizons and skills. I don't understand why some people don't want him to act in movies/plays outside of HP. I mean of course he's ALWAYS going to be remembered as the guy who play Harry, but that doesn't mean he can't go for other parts. Many actors have been defined or made known by one part in one movie, but that hasn't stopped then from continuing to seek new roles and become sucessful actors. I say: GO DAN! Spread Your Wings!

As a mother of 4, I have a rebuttal for all those parents with issues on the newly released photos. Yahoo quoted one mother as being upset due to the fact that her 9 year old looks up to Daniel as a role model. A parent is their childs protector. If you don't want to tarnish the image that your child has of their role model, then don't. You as a parent can control the information your child recieves. I make the effort to be in the same room with my 9 year old daughter while she is online. I know what sites she is on and if there is any questions I am right there to answer it. Do not begrudge a young adult the inalienable right to grow up. Time doesn't stand still you know.

Anyone eles find these photos funny? Why are people getting so mad over these photos. It just a kid trying to erase the "Harry Potter" image. You guys getting all upset about this is so not worth your time or energy. Pick your battles, and getting upset over this is SO not worth it. I am a 21 year old girl and personally, I don't find him attractive at all in these photos.

Equus is a gripping and serious play, and not easy to watch. I read it for a class in the 80's, and later my small Minnesota college put on a production. I believe the nudity is essential to the play, in that one is exposed to the vulnerability of a troubled young man. Kudos to Dan Radcliffe for taking on this role. It's not easy. And kudos to the young lady playing opposite of him.

Dan's an artist. An actor is an artist. He's not Harry Potter forever, just like Elijah Wood isn't Frodo Baggins forever. He's breaking the stereotype. He's got the confidence and the physique AND THE TALENT to do this play. I don't think people should rag on him for that.

I'm really impressed by Daniel now.Bye bye Harry Potter! He's really grown up and looks very handsome. Loads of credit to him! And good luck with the play!!!

SPOILERS FOR THE PLAY EQUUS! I saw the play live in Edmonton (Canada) a month or so ago, and the nudity was the BIG DEAL when we were walking in. However the play itself is really engrossing, very emotional and really powerful...The nudity isnt until the last bit and with all the tension built up and the staging, lighting etc... the audience is really prepared for it. It's not gratuitous; it has a point! Both the guy and girl are naked then the girl gets dressed and leaves and just the character Alan Strang is left. At first its kinda uncomfortable but after about ten minutes you're completely used to it... Afterwards we got to talk to the actors and the one who was naked, (played Alan) said that after all the rehearsing and then doing the play every night for weeks, you get totally comfortable and it becomes routine! He said after a while he really enjoyed it! The play is awesome and Dan will hopefully do an awesome job, nakie or not!

I really have no idea what the play is about, besides there's a horse in it.. but in the pics there is also a naked girl.. is the play like a love story between dan and the girl ? and is there a kissing scene? .. I am assuming so, since they both get naked...

Ooooh they put MORE up?? *faints* Okay and you people are being so weird. If you don't think it's proper, don't look at them. I mean, I think the way they are introduced is fair warning that he's not wearing any clothes and it's not as if you see anything inappropriate.

Oh for goodness sake, for those who have issues with the pictures - if you dont want these pictures to ruin your image of him then don't look! its that simple. Plus its just a picture of him with no shirt on, its NOT porn, I dont remember this many complaints when he took his top off in HP.
