Dan chose to do this play and more power to him because that's what he wanted to do but posting those pics on HP sites where there are children not to mention young HP fans visit is tasteless and should not have been posted. Why not just have him go totally nude and post those pics on here etc. NOT GOOD! how is going about it all wrong those pictures are fantastic and a credit to there photographer and that play is going to be amazing and if your an actor its all about diversity he's trying to be professional and so what if he makes a few mistakes along the way...these pictures are far from untastful and coming from someone with a degree from uni in art history, those are some beautiful photographs so get over it there pictures, he's in a play big deal...oh and it doesn't help that hes not bad to look at, actually he's HOT!!!and i can't wait to see the show when it opens, good thing bout living on this side of the world...Your entitled to your own opnion fair enough, but jealousy will get you no where....

I just read the article on the theatre site about how Joanna Christie got the part of Jill and I feel a whole lot better about how the play is going to go. They said, "Christie will play the role of stable girl Jill Mason. She recently graduated from Mountview Theatre School (where The Sound of Music star Connie Fisher also trained) and has recently returned from travelling around India for a year with a theatrical troupe. According to The Daily Mail, Christie was selected for the part after 308 young actresses were auditioned. She was recalled four times to test with Radcliffe and finally won the role, according to producer David Pugh, because of “the chemistry between them.� He added, “She was the one Daniel fancied the most, and that swung it for us.� If she has that much experince in the theatre, and they had that many auditions together, they must get along well, and I'm sure they can do this professionally without being embarrassed. So we can at least quit worrying about how embarrassing it will be for the actors to play their parts.

I never thought that there were so many people of all ages who feel so uncomfortable about sexuality. If parents are open with their children about sexuality and are willing to discuss it with them, then there should be no embarrassment about viewing these pictures from either the younger or the older generation. The human body is a beautiful thing and it only becomes 'dirty' if we make it so to ourselves and others - it is certainly NOT porn, as some would suggest. I never caught that Dan's-fangirl-craze, but I must say I appreciate his... more mature appearance. When I first saw these I could only recall Jake Gyllenhaal's appearance in Brokeback Mountain--the similarities are striking! I just hope that Dan's taking on a more mature role won't harm his career but will help him break out of the Harry Potter shell, so he'll have something to move on to after the HP films. Look, everyone who says that these pictures are perfectly appropriate for all ages...different people feel differently about seeing more of a teenage boy's body then is the norm. I think people are perfectly entitled to their view about the amount of hair...we haven't ALL been in positions (multiple times, it seems, from the tone of authority I'm hearing from some people) where we are looking at teenage boys completely naked. I'm sorry, this probably seems unreasonable to a lot of people, but I feel like if dan wants to broaden the publics view of him, he could habe done something...I dunno, more for his audience? Furthermore, the confidence to choose a role where he is required to perform well regardless of his nudity, where most people would be distracted and thus the quality of their acting would suffer, shows maturity and poise. On another note, he looks older than seventeen to me.

Dose he really think that this is going to make people forget about "Harry Potter?" People are not going to "typecast" him as "the boy that ran around naked with horses", they are going to typecast him as Harry Potter and he better get use to it.

OK I will admit that after studying the pictures a few more times, he doesn't look as bad as I thought. I know the hair is normal but at his age it still looked like a bit much to me, or that much hair just isn't so flattering on him.... to me. I do commend him for being bold and all of that good stuff but like somebody else said, "He will be typecast" no matter what. If he had more serious roles in between the Potter movies and gotten a bit more established I think it would have been better. But all people really credit him for his Harry Potter so there was nothing to balence it out. It's going from one extreme to another.
