I think it takes guts to do what he is doing. I understand he is a hero to young children, but sooner or later everyone grows up. He can not keep taking on "clean and squeaky" roles because he is harry potter. He is trying to break the mold and not be type cast. I say kudos.

If HP fans can't deal with him taking on difficult and contraversial work then they need to be doing the growing up. Daniel is an actor playing a fictional character and if he wants to challenge himself with more serious roles then I wish him all the luck in the world. He's not going to be a school boy forever.
