UK 'Deathly Hallows' page count undecided
Yesterday we told you that Waterstone's was listing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as having 688 pages. Bloomsbury has informed us that a page extent for the UK edition of the book has not yet been confirmed.

Personally I don't care how long it is, just as long as I get the blasted book and it ties up at least SOME of the loose ends. I'm not believing anything posted anywhere about the books page count until it's up on Jo's website or I've got the book in my hand and counted the pages myself, though. Saves the internet a lot of drama :)

I know Ryan!!!

de_lycanthrope You really think Scholastic are going to lie to the world about it in a press release??? OK. Sure. LOL siebensprung-heading their now!

Posted by Doxybiter_DH_ Mar 20th 2007

Well, MuggleNet had REALLY become slow... you guys, Scholastic has said that the US edition will be 784 pages long. That's .. postworthy, isn't it?

Posted by Susan14 Mar 20th 2007

Sorry about doubting you Ryan. X_x; I didn't think you were lying at all, I just thought it was another rumor. Wish Mugglenet would update it.

I just wanted to tell everyone that hpana is reporting that the US version of HPDH has 784 pages to it. This new comes from scholastic. I think we might get a cover picture soon rather then later.

Posted by aisling187 Mar 20th 2007

It should be longer. honestly, I wouldn't mind 1000 pages or more.

A comment relating to the Sonorus Event: Hello, my name is Ann-Laurel and I am the main Chairperson for Sonorus. I would like to address a few of the questions brought up on this comment section. Let me start with "Gowa". The John P. Eliopulos Hellenic Center is BRAND NEW and is located directly adjacent to the Greek Orthodox Church on 30th St. W. If you have truly lived in Lancaster for 13 years, you should know where that is. If you still believe that it does not exist, their phone number is (661)948-1413 and if for some reason that does not work, you can contact the church at (661)945-1212. We did not put (on the website) that the banquet hall is a Hellenic Center because our event has nothing to do with the church, we are merely renting their extremely beautiful new building. Now, yes, there is only one email address because everything from the site comes to me and one other person in charge of registration. This is not a huge multi-day event, and therefore does not have a large staff working on it. There are only a few of us. If you have concerns, feel free to email me via that email address on the website. As far as accepting payment before registrations, we do not do that. And frankly, blindly paying for ANYTHING without filling out a registration form first isn’t advisable. Please also note that anyone under 16 cannot attend without a parent. I guarantee this event is real and truly happening. Both Steve and John will be presenting. I asked them to visit the AV specifically because many of my friends are unable to attend the large HP conferences and therefore miss out on these truly wonderful speakers. It is depressing to see the comments made by so many of the mugglenet readers. No matter what your view of Lancaster, it really has no relation to whether or not this HP event will be exciting or not. I encourage those fans who love the series, are familiar with Mr. Granger and Mr. Vander Ark's work, and just want to spend a fun eveni...
