Evanna: filming OOTP was 'brilliant and perfect'
The Luna Lovegood actress recently did an interview where she spoke in detail about the past year where she won the role of the quirky Ravenclaw. On whether she and Luna share similarities, Evanna says this:"Yes, quite a few. Our taste in clothes is very similar. I proudly and happily wore her clothes and I think she would wear mine too. I believe that almost anything is possible if you see the possibilities rather than the obstacles; Luna has some very unconventional beliefs that need no basis of fact and while I don't share them I think it shows us that she won't believe things are untrue until you have some very firm evidence. There is no evidence to suggest that The Crumple Horned Snorkack exists but there is no evidence to suggest that it doesn't exist, therefore she can believe in it. I think the main difference between us is that I am a lot more ambitious and that makes me serious. Luna is so free and seems to drift along with life, dealing with everything as it comes to her. I have more goals so I've more worries. I think that's why I love Luna so much. She doesn't have to have achievements or approval to feel satisfied and she's as wonderful and balanced a person as anyone could be. She knows worrying is pointless so she just floats and I really admire that in her."

I can't wait to see her in the films. Everyone has loved her as Luna. Evanna is perfect for the part in looks and, apparently, character. I'm soo excited!! Luna is one of my favorite characters and if Evanna dose a good enough job, and I'm sure she will, then she might even make up for Harry's Horrible Hair...

Jo was right. Evanna is perfect. I think she's going to be the best thing about the film. She knows Luna so well. This is exactly what I feel about Luna, too. I'm so happy.

Azazel, I think WB are very aware of the treasure they uncovered when they picked Evanna out of that sea of 15,000 hopefuls last year -- she really is perfect, as JKR herself has stated :) All the lucky ones who have seen the test screenings have offered glowing reviews of her performance, and I think that all us Lunaholics are going to be in for a real treat come July ;) Go, Evanna! :D

Luna/Evanna is one of the only characters to be exactly like i picture her when i first read OOP she looks the part i hear she acts the part and jk said herself one word 'perfect' Wb has got to know they struck gold with the fan base of harry potter when they casted this gem! Being irish suits the character too!! slan go foil agus go deas ar on luna!

Dragonprincess25, you know that people who have seen screenings of the OotP, have said Luna is probaly has the most screen time out of all the characters other than Harry...

I never thought Evann looked like a Luna, I always pictured Luna with dirty blond hair, and not as pale skin. But, then again I'd rather have a good actor who doesn't look the part then visa versa!
Let me guess, lol, Dragonprincess25 hates Luna because she ships someone else with Harry :) But then, we don't need to make her shut up -- there's loads more people who love both Evanna and Luna than the opposite, and it suffices that we voice OUR opinion rather than reacting to hers ;) Way to go, Evanna! :D

Well, I guess it's a good thing that Luna has a decent amount of screen time, 'cause she's a fun character to read about, and I'm sure she'll be fun to watch. However, they mustn't make her too much of a main character and risk taking away from the other plot lines.
I hope she has a somewhat big role in dh, that would be interesting....didnt jk say the ravenclaws would have there day?
Baba - I don't think they are going to include Quidditch in HBP. Slughorn's party is sorta important because that's when Harry hears about the Unbreakable Vow. I loved how Luna and Harry went together. I'm not a Luna/Harry shipper (he's meant for Ginny), but I liked seeing Luna again. She's a great character, and I'm sure Evanna Lynch will do her justice.
