WB: Enhanced OOTP poster wasn't approved
Recently, Warner Bros. released this promotional poster for Order of the Phoenix film. However, IMAX.com posted a similar poster with minor changes which included making Emma Watson appear more curvaceous.

This alteration prompted outrage among fans, and now, according to The Daily Mail, the enhanced IMAX poster was not approved by WB who said: "This is not an official poster. Unfortunately this image was accidentally posted on the Imax website. The mistake was promptly rectified and the image taken down."

hahaha that's so stupid. poor emma tho... good thing they're rectifying it, although i know some guys like perving on emma, but the real thing is always better lol

Posted by Mad_Over_Mooney May 6th 2007

And the point of that is...? This is Harry Potter, why would they even think of enhancing a teen like that? thank goodness it is unapproved by WB. Poor Emma.

Posted by Nepi May 6th 2007

how to make harry potter more attractive to teenage boys...

Posted by iheartmugglecast May 6th 2007

Why would they do that? I mean, I know it's all teenage boy sex appeal, but it still undermines Emma and Harry Potter franchise itself. 4th?!

Posted by swans_rule_the_afl May 6th 2007

hahaha "making Emma Watson appear more curvaceous". Wow this is like the first time ever that I've seen a news posting without at least 20 comments already on it...I always think it's so sad when people are like "1st!", but then again I don't really have anything 2 comment about, yet here I am, just for the sake of being one of the first commenters...

Posted by Sarah_Louise May 6th 2007

hahahaaa. thats pretty funny. No offence to emma or anything... P.S Sarah loves Ash Ketchum

Posted by knowitall May 6th 2007

this was really unnecessary...Who the hell cares about her curves?

Posted by Flaky May 6th 2007

Farout mate, that's just plain old redicules aye! LMAO! What a bunch of geeks. Emma, your alright just the way you are. ^_

Posted by danny May 6th 2007

does anyone think they did some subtraction for the first (main) poster? i dont think anyone in their right mind would actually do some addition their...thats just disturbing.

Posted by knowitall May 6th 2007

"Disturbing" is the right word here, danny less. I totally agree with you. It's just stupid. She looks great just the way she is and well there is no need in "making Emma Watson appear more curvaceous"

Posted by felixfelicis888 May 6th 2007

oooooooooooooooooooooohhh hh, Emma Watson+ curvaceous= Happy Alex!!!! (me).

Posted by felixfelicis888 May 6th 2007

Don't worry, I'm not some kind of perv. I'm 14 and I LOVE EMMA SO MUCH ITS JUST YOUR SOOOO HOT WAH HAH HAH!!!

Posted by swans_rule_the_afl May 6th 2007

ok felixfelicis888 if u like emma so much, so should probably like her for her actual self, not her digitally enhanced, larger cup sized poster version.

Posted by Blossom552 May 6th 2007

I can hardly notice the difference. You'd think if they were going to bother changing her **** they'd do a bigger job. Doesn't seem much point to it.

Posted by forever_charmed May 6th 2007

I really don't care about how she looks on the poster. But I've noticed that they had made changes to all the actors. Make up, lighting and a little bit of computer magic on all of them makes them perfect like always...

Posted by xshannonx May 6th 2007

I'd hate to see any of the younger HP cast go all Hollywood. Let's just hope Emma doesn't go through a phase of size 0 or wanting to look like every other actress... Although they didn't enhance her by much it still shows how far people will go in order to make people want to go see a movie. It's just silly and unnecessary!

Posted by SSWTB May 6th 2007

They did something with her hair too. Unnecessary.

Posted by fancyultrafresh May 6th 2007

I can hardly see the difference between the two images - or at least I'm not offended by it.

Posted by Flaky May 6th 2007

eh? what did they do with her hair? SSWTB, I can't see it...! *squints*

Posted by fancyultrafresh May 6th 2007

Also, compared to other digitally enhanced images, this is nothing - it could be worse.

Posted by Eriskay May 6th 2007

If you can't see the difference between the posters, check out the animation on leaky. You can't miss it there. Also, on the poster that appeared from a swedish site, you can't really recognize Bonnie's face. They've done something there to. Since I'm from Sweden I've emailed the site in question and actually asked them to remove that one. I don't think they will, but at least I've tried.

Posted by mkroxmysoxhehe May 6th 2007

I've been trying really hard to find a big difference ... and I'm not a pervert or anything ... I'm just trying to find a difference and i don't think i would have noticed if it wasn't mentioned, unless i stared at the entire poster long enough or they were side by side. BUt i still think that it was probably a good idea to fix the mistake to prevent future problems or possible lawsuits.

Posted by Naush May 6th 2007

The extent that companies go through to get a bit of publicity! Lol.

Posted by asleep_at_the_moment May 6th 2007

thats a bit naughty of imax... i think emma looks better "natural" anyway... i wonder how far id have to drive to find an imax cinema?

Posted by iceboots May 6th 2007

It's like the Keira Knightley thing, although I think that was offical.

Posted by purplepeopleeater92 May 6th 2007

Well, imax IS about being bigger... haha. but those are TWO DIFFERENT PICTURES of emma. If you compare them (crop them to the same sizes and jump back and forth in Preview with the up and down arrow keys), her hair is different, the stripes on her sweater are in slightly different locations, and her makeup is darker (of course, the makeup could be a contrast issue). Anyway, if they ARE two different pictures, as I would expect they would be, she could have just, er, popped out her chest inbetween the two, and in one she is.... "bigger" (to use the vernacular). So don't everybody get your pancakes in a stack, and thank you for reading this ALL the way through. :-)

Posted by J_Dizzle May 6th 2007

oooh big deal SHE IS A GIRL!!! So what, I understand theyre trying to mae this a kid movie, but this is insane, whatever shes a girl she has them deal with it.

Posted by pigwidgeon May 6th 2007

glad they changed it. it's completely unnecessary to do things like that.

Posted by harrypotterfan20202 May 6th 2007

ha ha! lol, emma more curvaceous?!? they should have left it natural..

Posted by ecniv08 May 6th 2007

tsktsk... the imax poster had been used here in the philippines...

Posted by mugglequeen May 6th 2007

*rolls eyes* gosh... the things Hollywood does. I HIGHLY doubt JKR would be happy with her ideas being abused like this. Hem hem... this is a time for some Umbridge anger if i'm not mistaken (hehe)

Posted by hermyown7777 May 6th 2007

stupidity

Posted by Baphomet May 6th 2007

Nothing wrong with adjusting Emma's bust size a little bit :) Just look what they did to that chick who starred in Pirates of the Caribbean!

Posted by ginnygal May 6th 2007

Well I like both posters I like both posters because both of them well kinda..... look the same!

Posted by Dobby4ever May 6th 2007

That's sating: " Emma's breasts are too small! Let's make them bigger." I would be so angry if I was Emma. They are critizising her body. People today only think about how a body looks like, and not how the actor (in this case Emma Watson) think about them making her body look sexier. I was a bit shocked, when I read it.

Posted by felixfelicis888 May 6th 2007

Oh come on, don't get mad at me. I see no difference actually in the two pics, except for the overall size. I didn't say anything like she looks better in the new picture. She is exactly the same in both. I ment to say that she is looks beautiful no matter what picture she is in. They don't need to make her more curveous.

Posted by LunaLouise May 6th 2007

Ah well, might just be the '3D-effect' !

Posted by Ellie_Snowmantle May 6th 2007

If you put both pictures side by side you can see they slightly made her chest look bigger in the IMAX one. I honestly see no point in why they would do that, she looks fine the way she is, and I agree with DOBBY4EVA that it's sad how now they only care about what the actress looks like instead of her talent in the movie. The poster producers should be ashamed of themselves. It's a Harry Potter movie for heavens sake, not the next Playboy franchise.

Posted by kaze_ May 6th 2007

There's nothing wrong with having small ****. darn you, IMAX. -__-

Posted by Azalea May 6th 2007

It looks as if they cut a slice out of her waist rather than increased her bust size. How terrible that the promo people alter perfectly good bodies just to conform to some arbitrary ideal, be it PotC, Harry Potter, whatever! Of course this isn't new, just look at Princess Leia in the promo posters for SW in '77; then again, that wasn't a photo.

Posted by Faramir May 6th 2007

I hope this poster to not be approved!! It´s enought to only show and to only care about women (or a girl)´s chest, and to only care about to make them bigger and bigger!!!

Posted by weasleychick92 May 6th 2007

That's stupid. Emma is fine just the way she is, WITHOUT enhancement. Those people only care about what the actresses look like, not their talent. They should be ashamed.

Posted by RaspberryMuffin May 6th 2007

lol @ child porn.

Posted by sms May 6th 2007

Unbelievable. If I ever had to meet the person who did that, he'd be in for some bad luck. I'm glad WB told them to take it down. Poor Emma.

Posted by Staplegunneddxx May 6th 2007

I'm glad they took it down and all but it wasn't really that noticable, well to me anyway. It is really dumb that they would even think about doing that though. Emma is just fine the way she is and plenty of guys like her.

Posted by sectumsempra99 May 6th 2007

never thought imax was that stupid....poor emma.

Posted by Switchfoot May 6th 2007

I can barely tell the difference.. I don't see what the fuss is.. Oh and on another note: Can we please try not to use the Daily Mail as a source for stories? It's one of the worst tabloids for sensationalism/downright lies >.>

Posted by Sara_the_Muggle May 6th 2007

Bahahaha. That really is lame. Although, quite honestly I wouldn't have noticed any difference if I hadn't been informed. =]

Posted by chommy May 6th 2007

Wow. I did NOT notice the Emma thing until Mugglenet told me. Thanks a lot, Mugglenet. =[

Posted by ferdalba May 6th 2007

But Emma is in fact "curvaceous". She is 16 now after all.
