New interview with Evanna Lynch
This is my schedule - I get out of a summer course on Thursday night, go to the bookshop, start queuing, queue all day Friday with my biggest Harry Potter fan friends, then read all of Friday night, all of Saturday, and then Sunday is a mourning day.Edit: It looks like the BBC took the article down for no reported reason. Hopefully the full article will be back online soon!
I guess some people might recognise me in the queue, but everyone is just going to be so excited for the book that they won't care about me.

Not in mine, sadly. I never dream about the stuff I want to dream. Although I did have this one dream two days ago I think--it wasn't really about Evanna, but I saw her name in it, so I don't know if that counts. Anyway, I think it was about this interview thing with Carlton or the actor that played Carlton (from Fresh Prince of Bel Heir(sp?)), and he was being asked names about actresses he thought were cute. I don't know how I know all this, you know how dreams are, you "know" things without explanation. But anyway, this very large board showed up behind him with all the names he'd mentioned, and the one name I noticed (and was able to read at all for that matter) was Evanna's, and I just thought that was a very strange thing. Then I woke up and I had this huge feeling of jelousy which I still don't get, but maybe I wanted to be up there being interviewed instead. Dreams are very weird for me. I think it's just a crush though, but I don't like admitting it to myself because I think it's just because she's portraying Luna (who is the coolest character ever) that I think I like her. She does have a very pretty voice though and I'm hoping to send her a fanletter soon (as soon as I figure out the right amount of postage, otherwise I'll laminate it in stamps and send it just to be sure). Oh I'm sorry, I'm doing that thing I do again where I talk too much. But I agree with you, I think she would make just about the perfect best friend.
Hah hah sorry I'm replying so late, Luna_Fan. "Pulling a Mrs. Weasley"---awesome! Hah! Well, actually, hard to believe that I haven't written fanmail...because I guess its that I'm scared to know that the actors/actresses are not the same as the character they portray--do you get what I mean? It would be such a disappointment to find out that they are simply complete opposites of their character, that they're not really lovable goofs, or brave wizards who organized Dumbledore's Army, or bookish goody two shoes---and just regular people who happen to be playing a part---not that i wouldn't love to be in their place. And btw, my neighbors aren't actually British--they were just staying there for a while, and then they moved to england *sigh* and then back here! They now live a few blocks away but it's not as if I'm ever really personally speaking to them. I just think I want to go to England and see what it's like----i think i may be fantasizing it a bit because I just want it to be wonderful....:) Btw, I'm a bit confused--did ur library have a special copy of OotP, and is that why you were willing to pay so much?
i love Luna Lovegood...She's an awesome character. When i think of her i think of someone dreamy... i think EL will be good playin Luna.
lol yup! A Mrs. Weasley! I really hope I'm the first fan to do that too, because I want to make a noticeable impression amongst the hundreds, if not thousands of other fanletters she must get. And it would be very hard for anyone to reply to them all. I just hope it's actually possible to send a letter with so many stamps, because it it's illegal or something I'm going to be very sad. And I get what you mean about the actor(tresse)s being different than their characters, but I'd be just as exited nonetheless. And I really really want to go to england in the near future too, though even if I did I probably wouldn't get to meet any of the stars. Although, I guess I could just stroll down their adresses with a camera and then brag about it. But going to all those places would be very costly. I'd visit Termonfeckin I think (good gosh, I think I'm a real-life guy version of Mary Jane, just a stupid little guy with a crush). Oh, and about the book, it's a hardback book that I could get at any bookstore, but that particular copy of Order of the Phoenix means a lot to me because it's the first Harry Potter book that I ever picked up and finished reading from cover to cover, and it's also the one that made me a fan. I'd watched the first four movies so I didn't feel like reading about them, but I went back to them after Half-Blood Prince and they were great. So that's why I'm really willing to pay so much to get that book in particular.
You know... she's the one actor that is actually IN the films but is also as much a HP fan as we are (maybe even more) and she talks about it! That's why she's awesome... ROCK ON EVANNA! Your going to be the best Luna EVER!!!
lol She's worried that at least one Harry Potter fan out there won't like her but so far I haven't seen anyone speak bad about her in the least.
Well, now I understand why you want that particular book; I'd also be SOOO excited to meet the actor/tresses, but only if I found out that they were nice people as well, not spoiled by the whole famous thing. I think its a great idea to "stroll" past their houses, but also a little stalker-ish. :D I think its so weird that u read OotP first and then HBP and THEN went back. Wowie. THat's weird, to know what happens when ur readng it from the beginning...and THAT'S why i don't like spoilers!
Not one person on here has said they don't like her ...
Well actually, reading Order of the Phoenix and the Half-Blood Prince wasn't as great as it could've been either because I'd been spoiled about Dumbledore's death the year previous (and Sirius's too from wikipedia I think, though that didn't stop me from feeling a huge amount of suspence throughout Order of the Phoenix. When I got to the part where Harry thought he was the weapon, and that all the security was for everyone else's protection and not really his own, that was like one of the really high points of the book for me, and I was so very scared and panicky when Umbridge had found out about the DA--it was without a doubt the most incredible book I've read to date). lol "stalker-ish" I would try not to make my enthusiasm at actually being in front of their houses if I ever did get to go there too conspicuous. I'd probably work up some kind of skit and then "casually" happen to pass by doing something funny (tripping on a waterhose, falling into a dumpster and rolling down a hill sounds like a good one). Though I would probably be one of dozens of people crowding up outside, so I would have to settle for simply strolling through. But I prefer the skit thing, I would much rather make them all laugh than let my fanboy-ishness run amok, that way I could go "Oh, you have their autographs? I made them laugh!" the autographs would be worth thousands obviously, but I think all the actors/actresses would find a particularly good laugh more memorable than an autograph out of hundreds they must make all the time. But I'm really getting ahead of myself, none of this might ever happen! Although, I could move to england for a job thing. I'm gonna have to start paying attention to career choices at school!
I think this is the interview: http://newsvote.bbc.co. uk/1/hi/entertainment/674 2415.stm
SEVERIN : you said that you don't care, but you obviously cared enought o write a comment about it.
Its great to know that there is someone on the set who is as much of a die hard fan as we are. You don't here anyone else talk about how they are hard core fans like that.
luna_fan: Yeah, OotP was feverishly scary---i was definitely freaking, though with HBP i was crying HYSTERICALLY when you know who died (you never know--there could be some people on here reading the comments who havent yet read HBP--but that's sorta HIGHLY impossible). It'd be really awesome to make them LAUGH--but then again, i'll admit that it'd be really cool to have their autographs---BUT then again i'd be one of thousands! :( Btw, do you also have like a semi-obsession with wikipedia???
Hmm, you're right, we might spoil Rupert. (I found it so funny that he hadn't read the book for half a year after its release, I only found out yesterday.) I don't really have a huge obsession with wikipedia, and despite what a lot of people say I think it's a very good place to find information. I always go there when I want to check up on a particular spell I can't remember or something about the characters.
Evanna is wonderful, and Luna is my favorite girl in the entire series. I can't wait to see OotP. It's going to be perfect.
You can read the entire interview on my Evanna Lynch fansite. I managed to get the entire thing before they took it down. Here's the news post: http://evannalynchonline. com/index.php?subaction=s howfull&id=1182166145&arc hive=&start_from=&ucat=3& There are more interviews as well, I've posted them all if any Evanna fans want to read/view them.
Oh my holy raven feathers, yes, she's perfect! .___. I agree with everyone, it's so wonderful that a real REAL REAL Harry Potter fan got the part of Luna, I just love Luna. I hope Evanna won't disappoint me now when I have gotten my hopes up. But I don't think she will, though, to be honest. And I hope she survives the Harry Potter fans of Doom in the queue, ahahahha.
