Interview with Bella and Le Strangers:

1. Why do you play wizard rock?

Ashley: We play wizard rock because we love music and we love Harry Potter!
Emma: And because wizard rock is awesome and so are we... hehe!

2. What do you personally get out of being in a wizard rock band?

Emma: Worldwide fame and tons and tons of money

3. What influences your music/your style?

Ashley: I like a lot of indie rock and Jason Mraz, who is a subcategory on his own.
Emma: My daddy... he helped me write a couple of our songs.

4. How long have you been playing?

Let's say since November 2007...

5. Do you plan to continue having shows and writing songs even though the Harry Potter series has been completed, and why?

Emma: The Dark Lord will NEVER die!

6. What is your favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?

Ashley: I love performing!
Emma: Superiority over other human beings...

7. What is your least favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?

Ashley: Having to travel a lot to get to venues, GAS MONEY!
Emma: Too many fangirls, not enough fanboys...

8. What advice do you have for potential future wizard rockers?

You will never be as awesome as us... don't even try!!!

9. How do you explain wizard rock to people who are new to the genre or to people who (heaven forbid) have never read Harry Potter?

Ashley: We would attempt to elucidate the worldwide phenomenon and communal spirit of the Harry Potter fandom, but not having enough energy, we wouldn't even bother trying.
Emma: We don't need to explain it.... We'll just Imperio them...

10. Is your band completely DIY, and do you think that being completely DIY is an integral part of being a wizard rock band?

Ashley: Yes and yes, when fans themselves become producers of this creative art, they become a part of the movement.
Emma: uh huh...

11. Have you ever been approached by a corporate record-label asking to sponsor your band? If so, what was your reaction and if not, what would your reaction be in such a situation?

HA!

12. Has your band ever had any copyright-infringement issues, and if so how have you dealt with them?

Well, we have some parodies, but we'll give credit where it's due.

13. Is there any specific message you would like to share with your fans?

Bellatricks are for kids...

Well, I can certainly see why we're trying to keep them alive. Who wouldn't want pets that can burn, sting, and bite all at once?
