Interview with Accio Wizard Rock:

1. Why do you play wizard rock?

Well, ever since I was eight years old I've been in LOVE with Harry
Potter! When I found The Moaning Myrtles last winter, I HAD to start a
band of my own!

2. What do you personally get out of being in a wizard rock band?

Just knowing that you are part of something amazing, that so many people listen to, ABOUT something so dear to so many people...it's just wonderful.

3. What influences your music/your style?

Well, I hope to have my own style, but there are lots of bands that influenced me to start my own band; The Moaning Myrtles, How Airplanes
Fly, Roonil Wazlib, The Hungarian Horntails, Ministry of Magic,
Catchlove, The Remus Lupins, and, of course, Harry and the Potters!

4. How long have you been playing?

Funny story, I started writing songs last winter, around probably
November...But I didn't have a single instrument...except my little brother's toddler keyboard! Before I got a myspace account, I wrote and performed songs on the toy keyboard. But now, I have a real keyboard and an acoustic guitar. I've been playing for about a year now.

5. Do you plan to continue having shows and writing songs even though the Harry Potter series has been completed, and why?

Definitely! Mainly because, the whole scene would die if everybody stopped playing because the series ended...we have to keep it alive!

6. What is your favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?

Getting Fan mail, definitely! Hearing people say "Wow! You are so good!" "I love your music!" Also, thinking that there could be people out there possibly singing one of my songs is pretty neat.

7. What is your least favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?

There isn't one! Maybe, when I first started guitar, the sores I would get on my fingers, but now it is great!

8. What advice do you have for potential future wizard rockers?

Don't let 'Haters' discourage you!! There will be people from time to time who will add you as a friend, JUST so they can leave you harassing comments. Don't let them bug you, they are a bunch of losers and, probably...jealous.

9. How do you explain wizard rock to people who are new to the genre or to people who (heaven forbid) have never read Harry Potter?

Never read Harry Potter?! Ha ha, usually I tell my friends that it is a bunch of different bands, singing music about Harry Potter, and it's loads of fun! They then comment on how geeky I am =)

10. Is your band completely DIY, and do you think that being completely DIY is an integral part of being a wizard rock band?

Yes, I am completely DIY. I think that, when you are in wizard rock, it is important to be DIY, you can express so much more of your creativity if you make your own choices.

11. Have you ever been approached by a corporate record-label asking to sponsor your band? If so, what was your reaction and if not, what would your reaction be in such a situation?

I have never been approached by one...nor would I want to. I think that wizard rock is meant to be totally indie, and should stay that way...I don't need some corporate record label.

12. Has your band ever had any copyright-infringement issues, and if so how have you dealt with them?

Ha ha, no I haven't!

13. Is there any specific message you would like to share with your fans?

Just wrock on and don't forget to have fun! Don't let those death eaters (haters) get you down!!
