Gary Oldman admits to having a call about “Star Wars”
Yes, Potter and Star Wars fans, you have indeed read correctly! Empire Magazine reports that during an interview with Sky Movies, Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) confirms that he has been contacted about a possible role in the anticipated new addition, Episode VII.
Although nothing is set in stone, and with him not revealing too much, Oldman admits,
“They’ve called, yeah. I’m more cynical about it now; I believe it when I’m on the plane home. You know, the deal isn’t done. But yeah, they’ve inquired.”
After already being involved in worldwide known projects such as Batman, Planet of the Apes, and of course, Harry Potter, it would certainly be something to see him make an appearance in a film with another huge fanbase.
Newly directed by J.J. Abrams, the movie has already been holding screen tests and open auditions all over the world. Filming is set to start relatively soon and should be in cinemas by December 18, 2015.
What do you think? Would you like to see Gary Oldman in the new Star Wars episode? What type of role would he be best suited for – hero or villain? Let us know with your comments.
