Toby Jones and Gemma Jones land BAFTA nominations
Toby Jones (voice of Dobby) and Gemma Jones (Madam Pomfrey) are among the actors who have been nominated for 2015 BAFTA TV awards. Both actors secured nominations for their performances in the BBC Two TV movie Marvellous, which aired in the UK last year. Toby has been nominated in the Leading Actor category while Gemma is in the running for the Supporting Actress award.
Marvellous has also been nominated in the “Single Drama” category. Described as a part biopic, part musical, and part fantasy, it dramatized the incredible true story of Neil Baldwin, who worked as an equipment manager for the UK soccer team Stoke City in the 1990s. Jessica Hynes (Mafalda Hopkirk) has also been nominated in the “Best Female Comedy Performance” category for her role in W1A. Other shows featuring former Potter alumni that secured nominations are Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders. For the full list of nominations, click here.
