No MuggleCast this week in preparation for next week's BIG event...

UPDATE (9/11): This whole event will be available for download on iTunes and this website, but we're not sure how it's going to be released. Probably in at least 6 pieces, but we won't stretch it out over 6 weeks. We'll see! UPDATE 2 (9/11): You do NOT need Skype to listen to the show. We'll be using a great website called Ustream to broadcast the show. Check out their website, and if you're able to watch any stream, you'll be fine for this Saturday. I'm sorry to inform you all that there will be no new episode of MuggleCast this week. BECAUSE, next Saturday (September 15th) starting at 12 PM EST, we will be holding a 12-hour LIVE podcast event over the internet! That's right. I typed "12" correctly. We will be podcasting live over the internet for 12 hours straight, with various special guests, music, call-ins, and much much more. It's going to be the BIGGEST podcasting event ever, and we want you to be a part of it! Shortly before the show begins, a link will be available here on MuggleCast.com directing you to where to listen. We hope to have several people listening for the entire 12-hour period, because you will be rewarded handsomely if you do so. Listeners can join or leave the live stream at any time. Also: We'd like your ideas for this event. Mail any suggestions for segments, songs, etc etc to mugglecast at staff dot mugglenet dot com. While we will be talking about Harry Potter for a large part of it, we also want to treat it as a radio show where we talk about various other things in the world. We hope you're excited for this, because we are STOKED. Jamie and I have tested the system, and all signs are pointing towards a good live event. A couple more things may be added to this post throughout this week, so keep checking. See you then!
Transcript Schedule

Okay, so as I have received plenty of e-mails about over the last two months, I know the transcript section is not as up-to-date as it should be. Here's the deal: as we are now back to a normal schedule, you can expect a transcript to be posted roughly a week after a show is released. So, Episode 107 (released last week), should be posted shortly. We want to make sure the most recent episode is available to you in a timely fashion. As for the missing episodes (94-106), I have most of them and need to go through and piece them together. They will be posted throughout the month of September, so be sure to check back and hopefully we will be all caught up by the start of October. Here is the transcript for Episode 94. MuggleCast Ringtones!

EDIT:Whoops, my bad! I had the link wrong.. I'm a poor podcaster. HERE is the real link. One thing I've been receiving e-mails about since my first Wizard Rock single release is this question: "I want your song on my phone? Can you make it a ringtone pleaseeeee?!?!" Today, finally, the answer is yes! A few selections from both Wizard Rock singles are now available at this link. For $5, you get a fantastic 30 second ringtone delivered to your phone (and if you would like MuggleCast album art as your wallpaper, you can select from two for $2 each). Unfortunately, this service is not available to Verizon customers, but we'll work on that. We get a cut from the sales of each ringtone, and those will go to supporting MuggleCast. Enjoy! Sidenote: We cannot make available a ringtone of the MuggleCast theme song because we did not create it. Sorry!
Back to basics

Ah yes, all six (although we attempted to record eight) episodes from our MuggleCast Summer Road tour are available. I gave thank-yous out on MuggleNet, but I would like to reiterate how thankful we are to everyone who came out to see us and The Remus Lupins. Without you guys, there wouldn't have been any fun shows, and without The Remus Lupins there wouldn't have been any fun OR tour. We love you both! Now now now, it's time to get back to the basics next weekend when we release episode 107 of MuggleCast. It'll be recorded old skool: over Skype, 1000 miles away from each other, and filled with mistakes. And boy, am I personally excited! We already have the entire show planned out... and that's something that usually doesn't happen until an hour before recording! We're going to go in-depth on Deathly Hallows, talk about the latest news developments, and play some segments that have been nearly forgotten. This is also the last show I think I'll be recording at my house. On Thursday I move into my dorm... that makes six of us who are in college this year (Micah is the only one lucky enough to be finished). So this raises a question a lot of you have been asking us: "Is MuggleCast dead? It must be becauze lyk you guys's are all going in 2 collage and the phandom is lyk tooootally dead." The answer is no! We're going to be working around our new schedules and making sure that we continue to put a new show out every weekend - at least for now. As we see it, the fandom (and MuggleCast listener base) is still alive and strong. We won't be going anywhere for a long long time. Hopefully this clears up the worry that we heard a LOT of over the past few months. Keep on listening, folks!

Today, our news anchor and head transcriber celebrates his 25th birthday! Since the beginning of the show, Micah has shown extraordinary dedication to the weekly process of building and creating an episode, and I know I speak for each of the MuggleCasters when I say we can't imagine doing it without him. Show stuff aside, Micah has always been a good friend to each of us, and often entertains us with his, err... "interesting" sense of humor! Thanks for all you do, Micah, and we hope you have a great day!

This is the time of year where people, myself included, are all very busy with different things and running in different directions. Be that as it may, it's no excuse and I will get things rolling by the end of this week. Please be patient a little longer while we start to get caught up.
