Potter Profile - Farzana

How did you become a fan of Harry Potter?
Well, I wouldn't like to share that bit of information but anyway. My brother got married in 30th July 2005. He got a whole set of the Harry Potter books as a present. That time I didnt have any idea about the Harry Potter books. All I knew was that a set of books had been published named Harry Potter. I didn't even know who wrote it. After a few months I took a fancy in the big volume of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I started reading the fourth book but I was lost. I really didn't have any clue about Tom Riddle or Harry. I didn't have any idea what all this was supposed to mean. Then I started to read the first book even though I didn't want to. And so my journey with Harry started. The more I read the more I became engulfed in the fabulous world of Harry.
Which of the four Hogwarts houses do you think you would you belong to?
My first pick is, of course, Gryffindor but I dont think that I am qualified to be a Gryffindor. Though you never know where the sorting hat would place you. But I think that I am qualified for Ravenclaw. Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure. I mean I think that I am smart and clever. I detest Slytherin though and I dont know what I would do if I was sorted in Slytherin.
What did you think of The Deathly Hallows?
It was just awesome! This last book was the greatest book I have ever read. And I also got some of my guesses right. The last book really lived up to my expectations. And though this is the best book of the whole Harry Potter series, I had a heavy feeling pressing down on my chest which I associated with losing a great friend. I was really downhearted because I couldn't believe that this was the end. That Mrs.Rowling would not write anymore Harry Potter books. That this was the end of so much anticipation and excitement.
What about the fifth movie?
I liked the movie but couldn't help being a little dissappointed. I mean this movie was the shortest and it was supposed to be the longest as the fifth book was the biggest book. But anyway I love the actors of the Harry Potter movies. I loved Gary Oldman as Sirius Black and Helena Bonham Carter was great. I mean she really gave the effect of a death eater. But the thing is that people cant fly without a broomstick or a thestral except the most powerful wizards. My favourite part of the movie was the department of mysteries.
Is there any character you wish had died or any character you wish hadn't died?
In the Deathly Hallows many people died to bring Voldemort down. I hated Bellatrix so that I was so very happy when died. But I really didn't want Fred or Tonks or Lupin to die. I mean right after they had had their son, Lupin and Tonks had to leave the world. I really loved Fred and I can't imagine George alone. I cant imagine one without the other. As for Snape, I wish he had lived. Harry was very wise to name his son son after Severus. I hoped that Mundungus Fletcher would meet his death in this book beacause I detest him. But otherwise,I am satisfied with this book.
Will Harry and Draco's children ever become friends?
No, I dont think so. Draco is just a coward and his son is most likely to be like him and the same goes for Albus Severus. I think Scorpius will carry on what his father started, hating Harry. Well, in his case Albus Severus. I do hope that Al and Scorpius rival each other for it doesn't seem to fit, Harry's and Draco's sons taking up a friendship.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am a great fan of Harry. Harry has helped me a lot. He is a great character. I am very glad that Mrs. Rowling decided to give Harry a peaceful ending because it would have been unbearable for me if Harry had died. I think that Harry Potter is the greatest book ever to be published and I am doubtful that I would ever find any other book as great as Harry Potter.
