Muggle Matrimony: Alejandro & Marcela
Marcela and Alejandro were married in March 2008.
In Marcela’s words,
We looooove Harry Potter so much that we decided to include it in our special day.
Our wedding was celebrated on a Sunday afternoon, almost four years ago. It was a beautiful sunny day, a day we had expected for a very long time. We had an outside wedding, surrounded by trees and flowers and got married under an arch embellished with flowers (lilies, in fact!)
We decided that we wanted something related to Harry Potter for our special day since it had been (and still is) such an important part of our relationship and lives, so we decided to name the tables after important places of the Harry Potter world…
…We gave a lot of thought to what names we were going to use and finally ended up with that list. The tables were:
Table 1: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Table 2: Hagrid’s hut
Table 3: The Burrow
Table 4: The Leaky Cauldron
Table 5: Gryffindor common room
Table 6: The Three Broomsticks
Table 7: Dumbledore’s office
Table 8: Diagon Alley
Table 9: King’s Cross station
Table 10: Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes
Table 11: Quidditch pitch
Table 12: The Great Hall
We were so happy about it! My husband’s sister and her husband wanted to make the flip chart for us, and they added pictures, and the result was beautiful. Of course, my husband and I were at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry table!! It was a truly magical day! And we love each other as much as we did at the beginning (and even more)!
