Wizarding World theme park soft opens to the public – first photos, reports (updated)
UPDATE: InsideTheMagic.net now has video and photos from within the park – they provide our best look yet! Thanks to them and Sue!
It was in February when Universal started offering Wizarding World theme park packages to the public. Those packages were good for travel to the Wizarding World from May 28th onward.
Many assumed that the May 28th package date meant that the theme park would be open by then. That speculation was proved wrong when Universal announced the June 18th grand opening.
HOWEVER, those who purchased packages between May 28th and June 18th were promised a \”Harry Potter experience\” by Universal. Those promises are now being fulfilled, as fans who purchased early Wizarding World packages were allowed access to the park for two hours this morning.
By the looks of things, the park was in full swing. WDWInfo.com has a huge gallery of photos from this morning’s opening, and the Orlando Sentinel has this report featuring some of the guests who were in attendance. The report also has a small review of the landmark Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.
