“Potter” helps Warner Bros. shatter domestic, foreign box office records in 2010
MTV Movies Blog reported earlier this evening that Warner Bros. broke box office records in 2010, thanks in large part to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.
Warner Bros. made $4.81 billion worldwide this past year and $2.93 billion in international tickets, both setting new industry records. It grossed $1.88 billion domestically.
“This achievement is a testament to the company’s strategy to make event films with global appeal, and it would not have been possible without the hard work and innovative thinking from our outstanding marketing and distribution teams around the world.”
