Wizarding World success increases cost of annual passes at Universal Orlando
Our friends over at InsideTheMagic.net are reporting that just three days into the new year, annual pass prices have jumped at Universal Orlando. For regular theme park-goers, wizards are to blame.
The Premier Pass has seen a $60 increase from $289.99 to $349.99, while the Power Pass has shot up by $20, from $139.99 to $159.99. The Power Pass is subject to several weeks of blackout dates as well.
“This drastic price increase is no doubt an attempt for Universal to capitalize on the sudden popularity of its parks now that the Wizarding World has increased attendance around the resort, with Islands of Adventure receiving more visitors in 2010 than it has in many years of recent history.”
No word yet on changes in pricing for those looking to spend just a few days in the park on vacation.
