“Deathly Hallows – Part 2” at CinemaCon coverage: new footage, film to be shortest one of series
As we’ve been previewing throughout the past week, Warner Brothers revealed new footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 at CinemaCon yesterday in Las Vegas. Collider has details up:
We were shown a 4 minute extended trailer in 2D featuring unfinished clips from the final installment. We saw glimpses of the Battle of Hogwarts, the Gringotts bank heist, and Harry’s confrontation with Voldermort in the forest. Other footage is too spoiler-heavy to discuss or mention. Some of the Hogwarts footage gave me chills. Even the Gringotts sequence looked a lot cooler and more exciting than I imagined it would be. It definitely seems like they packed a lot of action in this last installment.
Additionally, Collider caught up with Producers David Heyman and David Barron on the red carpet. One of the more interesting pieces they discuss is the length of the film. They say it will be the shortest film in the series, but still over to hours. Interesting!
