Fan Art of the Week: “Studying in the Great Hall”
This week’s piece of art comes from Sarah and is titled, “Studying in the Great Hall.” Sarah provided a brief description of her work for us: “For my birthday my friend wanted a picture of us in Harry Potter robes, so that’s what I painted. I used watercolors and pencil to show us studying in the Great Hall. I’m on the left taking notes while they read about werewolves, redcaps, and the sorcerer’s stone.”
Noah’s Notes: Sarah’s elaborate use of detail in this painting is truly something to be admired. Using watercolor, she accurately captured the architecture and coloring of the Great Hall. And, though we can’t make out the words, the images on those textbooks are intriguing and believable, too. I’m sure your friends were as pleased with this realistic painting as we were! Great work Sarah!
